- Major Update: v 1.05 (full controller support!) - 11 December 2020
Hi retro pilots! Here is a summary of the latest and major improvements to the game: Balance Changes: After adding a gems magnet to the ship hulls, Redbeard has done it again! The ship hulls now include an improved gems container that will allow pilots to retain 50% of the gems earned during a sector visit, even if the ship is destroyed. You will thus be able to keep half the gems on death. As a result of increasing R&D costs, Redbeard has decided to buy used items at only 80% of their initial price. QoL improvements: The game now supports keyboard and controller at the same time. This means the controller always works with the menus and you will be able to use the Steam Big Picture mode at all times with the game. To allow this change, the key settings have been reset to the defaults for both keyboard and controllers. You can now select the device you want to rebind in the key bindings…

Here are the update notes for version 1.04: Bug Fixes: Fixed a small visual issue with the shields upgrades showing +1 damage bonus instead of +20%. QoL improvements: Added a controller deadzone setting to allow players to tweak their controller's responsiveness. Very low/high values tend to bug so the default is set to 0.48.

Here are the update notes for version 1.03: Bug Fixes: Fixed an issue with shields not correctly registering the damage bonus to weapons. Fixed an issue where buying an item would occur twice with a controller if you had enough gems. Balance changes: Lowered the repair price from 25 to 15. It made warping out of a sector a bit of a hassle and should now be a more interesting option. QoL improvements: Added a separate volume bar for music and sfx so you can fine tune their levels (some sounds still need some remixing because they are too loud). Improved the activation area for the skill up buttons. Modified the shields tooltip to make the damage bonus more straightforward.

Here are the patch notes from the v 1.02 update to the game: Bug fixes: Fixed the Betelgeuse sector end level sometimes not triggering. Fixed the sector rewards (they were incorrect and sometimes rewarded twice). Added the missing sounds to the "speed up" and "speed down" platforms in the Mazinger sector. The Avatar of Brahma now correctly has less hit points if you managed to get to him faster. Another tentative fix for the black screen issue. Thank you for your patience and please report any bug to the troubleshooting forum!

Here is the changelog for the game's first update! Bug Fixes: Fixed the disappearing Betelgeuse sector boss in 2nd phase. Added a timer to the repair button so that gamepad controllers no longer hit it twice in a row. Balance changes: Corrected the experience granted by killing asteroids from the Aldebaran sector (it was way too low).

Here are the patch notes from the recent update to the demo build: Balance changes: Reduced the rate of fire of the Strong Hunter enemy. Bug fixes: Fixed an issue when several controllers were used at the same time. Fixed an issue with the initial configuration sometimes failing. Fixed an issue with controllers d-pad where the dpad would lock and be unresponsive. Fixed an issue where using a controller didn't allow you to change the values on the slidebars (volume, exp modifier and gems modifier). Fixed an issue where the green alien would actually put you into negative amounts of gems. He now stops at 25 gems stolen or if you're at 0 gems. QoL improvements: Added a Game Menu key binding and a default key (start for xbox controllers) to call the menu.
