Shattered is a little exploratory platformer in which you play as a bird who must climb up a mountain to rescue his brother from strange, threatening glitch-creatures using the power of his magical bell. It s also easily one of the prettiest games I ve seen lately. Making your way through this colourful, construction paper style world requires surprising amounts of concentration. As well as the standard WASD for movement, ringing your magic bell requires well timed use of the arrow keys, so you have to keep both hands independent but coordinated. Pulling it off feels great though, as showers of purple and pink magic notes burst out in a pastel chime and stave off these nightmare enemies. I won t spoil anything, but the game’s got a neat little story, too, though perhaps one to avoid if you re only looking for happy endings. On the other hand, they do give it away in their gameplay…

- Shattered 1.1.0 update is here! - 5 January 2018
A new update is now live that improves Shattered's gameplay, storyline, and horrific elements. Watch for a sale coming soon that will accompany the update! Also, feel free to take a look at the new trailer and screenshots that have been added to the store page. Changes in the update include: - Zombies are given a new, disturbing look * Warts have green, glowing puss * Harder to see from a distance * The look varies from zombie to zombie - More differences between the beginning days and the later days * Birds are no longer present in the later days * Cricket sound effect is replaced in the later days * 'Close to zombie' sound effects vary depending on the day * Eerie blue fog appears more often in later days * Added image effects in the later days to create an eerie environment Added inventory items that give further help and explanation to the player * Includes two letters written by th…
