Hey, this is a small update to add new localizations to the game. The last major update for Train Your Minibot before 1.0 should be coming relatively soon.Added Languages:JapaneseKoreanSpanish (Latin America)Traditional ChineseUkrainian
- The Graphics Driver Update - 12 February 2025
Welcome to update 0.8! For the longest time I have wanted to completely redo the lighting in the game. Not only did I always feel like it wasn't the best lighting (especially the shadows), but it also contributed over 700MBs of the game's file size. After yearly attempt for the past few years, I have finally succeeded in not only reducing the file size but also improving the quality of lights and shadows. With the new lightmaps the game's filesize has reduced from 1.5GBs to just a tad below 1GB. But that's not the only change in this update, so let us get right to the changelog. Major Changes Complete Overhaul of Lighting Upgraded to a new Rendering Pipeline Replaced the Outline System Minor Changes Updated to a new version of Unity Split grouped meshes into individual objects for optimization Optimizations across the game Minor changes to the Tutorial Further improvements to controller…
- The 99% Calibration Update - 8 April 2024
Welcome to update 0.7! This is the final minor version release before 1.0. Train Your Minibot now has 30 total levels as I had always hoped to include. As well all known bugs have been fixed, the UI has been improved, and performance has been significantly increased (Steam Deck is quite a fun way to play). I am extremely proud of the current state of the game and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have over the years. Although, this is not the end of development on TYM; below the patch notes I have included the roadmap to 1.0 if you are interested. Major Changes 12 NEW LEVELS ADDED bringing the game to a total of 30 levels! New Object Selection System, now raycasts from camera to finger tip instead of detection under the hand Minor Changes Reworked the "Floor is Lava" system for more accurate detection Further improved the In-Game Button Scaling Improved the Level Editor menu UI Minibot r…
- 0.6.3 - 2 March 2024
This is a smaller update than last, but it includes some crucial fixes that weren't apparent until we were testing one of the new upcoming levels. This update is a byproduct of the push to finish Train Your Minibot's levels. Major Changes Added Coyote Time! (note it's quite minor and only to cover very slight delay of input, I'm dedicated to keeping this a very precise platformer.) Minor Changes Movement Acceleration and Deceleration to smooth the animations Soda Particles have been overhauled Jenga blocks placed on RC trucks are now ridable Bug Fixes A very specific scenario we discovered while developing one of the final levels showed how the Retry and Puzzle Pause menus to overlap. This has been fixed, but also probably wasn't possible in the previous public builds. Push Currents no longer can push Minibot when he isn't in platformer mode
- The Firmware Update - 25 February 2024
Hey! This is a big update; especially for bugs. This is the first update that will come over the next few months as we approach full release out of early access. And I know some are wondering why this major update doesn't include any new levels? I've always wanted to launch with a total of 30 levels and that was before I even added an in-game level editor. 30 levels is still the release goal however! And good news the final 12 levels will be added to the game very soon. A professional level designer has been hired to assist me in finally getting these levels made. We are already putting the finishing touches on 3 of them and within the next month we should have all 12 in the game! Also as a small note: the Train Your Minibot OST is now on Spotify (and Pandora / other music streaming services)!!! Major Changes Updated Unity version from 2018 to 2022 LTS & 64bit executable Massive optimiz…

- The Reboot Update - 7 August 2023
Hey guys! It has been quite awhile since the last update. I have put off doing this update for quite awhile because I wanted to include some new levels along with it. Unfortunately, due to this delay in updating... I'm not exactly sure which of the bugs were fixed since I last updated, but there was a lot of them! So you should now find that the game is a lot more stable and you'll be running into a lot less bugs. The two new levels (Level 17 and 18) have been added to the game, they aren't as hard as some of the other levels which has me thinking that before full release I will most likely reorder the levels which will reset everyone's progress. Also I just want to let everyone know that the Train Your Minibot OST will be releasing in about 2 weeks, everyone who owns the game will be getting the soundtrack for free! Looking forward to developing more levels prior to full release. If an…

- Control Remapping & New OST Tracks - 12 October 2021
New Control Remapping 3 New OST Tracks Control Remapping has finally arrived to Train Your Minibot! This was unfortunately behind schedule a little bit, but hopefully it has been created in a clear and concise manner that makes it easy for anyone to change their controls. A few things to note however; The UI for the remapper is currently not within the theme of the main menu, but this will be addressed later in a Main Menu UI overhaul closer to full release. As well there aren't any Translations currently available for the remapper, these will be coming very soon. Bug Fixes Hitting Reset on an object before it has been moved would reset all objects below the floor Walking through the window would cause the player to fall out the world indefinitely
- Custom Levels with Steam Workshop Support & Tutorial Update - 5 September 2021
Major Updates Custom Level Editor Steam Workshop Support This is a pretty big update for Train Your Minibot and I'm super happy to announce that it includes a new custom level editor for anyone to design, play, and share their own levels to the community. This is obviously a major update for the game as it greatly expands the possibilities as it allows for more unrealistic levels that don't fit the game's theme (such as fun physics defying obstacles or full room exploration levels), but also these are the types of features that ensure the game can always continue to have new content. As well, the previous workflow for building levels in the Unity IDE was actually a lot more tedious than it is to build in this new level editor. So moving forward all the built-in official levels will also be designed using this level editor so I should be able to get new levels for everyone to play with a…
- Preview Branch: Level Editor & Workshop Support - 30 August 2021
Hey everyone! Sorry for the delay in updating, I'm a bit behind schedule but a lot of life events have taken me away from being able to work on the game as much as I would like. However, I have found enough time to finish the level editor for the most part and have it integrated into Steam Workshop. New Features Create/Edit Custom Levels Upload Levels to Steam Workshop Subscribe and Play Anyone's Levels Achievement to Play 1 Custom Level You can checkout the physics defying custom level I uploaded here. Note, no official levels will have physics defying layout. I should note that you will need to go to the game in your Library and click "Properties" -> "Betas" -> Select "preview" from the dropdown. This feature will release in version 0.3 when the tutorial system is finished as well any bugs found in the system are fixed between now and then. Let me know your feedback on the system!

- Early Access Launch & Roadmap - 30 June 2021
Hey everyone, Let me introduce myself; I'm Sky and I'm the solo developer that created Train Your Minibot. This project has been off and on for the past few years as I've debated when I wanted to take the large step into releasing my first paid game. Train Your Minibot is to the point now that I'm proud to put it on Steam and start receiving the communities' feedback on how to improve and progress the game forward to a full release. Hence, we are now entering Early Access. However, I'm not a fan of games sitting in Early Access for years and therefore am promising that Train Your Minibot will be here only as long as you guys feel it needs to mature into a full release. You can read my proposed roadmap here on Trello to see my current timeline up to Full Release in December 2021. Train Your Minibot is a puzzle platformer and as much as I know level content is important, the most importan…
