• ANOTHER FREE CONTENT EXPASION! - 14 August 2018

  As always, Nakawak's expansions or DLCs are free to all users. Today's expansion adds a new room containing a new, epic, and hopefully challenging boss battle. This is the first of many planned boss battles and new levels coming sometime this year or early 2019. Thank you for playing!!! Note: Updates such as these can affect save data. I apologize in advance for any lost progress as this cannot be helped. Hopefully the added content makes Nakawak a better experience.

• Major Content Update - 5/07/18 - 7 May 2018

  Nakawak has come a very long way since last year. Over the past couple of weeks, the game has received a steady influx of new content. Today's additions: -Revamped first boss encounter - difficulty has been raised -Many subtle touches of polish throughout the game's entirety -Various bug fixes including missiles penetrating certain walls -Sound fixes Previous additions: -Extended playtime -Rearranged Powerups -New areas to explore -Game progression alterations (to encourage exploration) -New music -New enemies -Widescreen (no more black borders) -and a full colorization of the game (from black and white) This will likely be the final update for a while. I'm fairly satisfied with the current product. • Sound Update - 3 May 2018

  This is just a quick sound and music update. Sounds and music have been dialed down across the entire game in effort to create a more comfortable listening experience. Also, along with this tiny update, a new song has been added to replace an old one. Have a great day!

• Major Content Update - 4/20/18 - 20 April 2018

  We are pleased to announce: A large update to the base game has been uploaded to Steam. Thank you so much to my Kickstarter backers and all fans of the game. As promised, the game has been altered, rearranged, polished, and expanded upon in many ways. The changes are as follows Free expansion to the base game includes: - New level - Changes to existing levels - Changes to item and powerup placements - Game progression has been altered - Three new enemies - New music Thank you for your support! More updates will follow throughout the year and will continue until late 2019. All updates are free to Nakawak owners. I hope you all enjoy your summer and look forward to future expansions of Nakawak's world. Next to come: New levels, new upgrades, and new boss battles! • Nakawak - Color Update! - 7 November 2017

  We are pleased to announce that Nakawak has been updated to full color. Several minor updates have been made, but most were touched upon in the previous update. Here are the newest additions to the game: -Game presented in full color -New title screen -Intro now colorized -New missile and beam canon animations -Better enemy sprites (polish to enemy sprites will continue into the new year) This is the last major update until the expansion (new levels, music, bosses, abilities, etc) are added sometime in 2018. This update will be free to all owners of Nakawak! And no matter how much bigger and/or better the game gets, the game's price will never increase. I hope you enjoy the new and improved Nakawak!

Nakawak has been updated in ways both major and minor: - The game is now presented in widescreen! this allows for better player visibility (less cheap deaths!) - No more pause screen for stats, as all are now displayed on the main play screen! - Enemy hitboxes, player damage, and health have been balanced - "Down" on the D-Pad now drops the player into the crawling stance (this previously required two button presses) This is it for the update. These things should help create a better overall experience.
