- Leaderboard Update - 26 April 2026
Hi! It's been a while! I took the decision to close my domain and the server that was hosting both the game's website and the leaderboard. After much struggle, I'm happy to share that the leaderboard, has been migrated to another service, much cheaper! If anyone as an issue with the update, please let me know. Many thanks! Happy rolling!
- Best death patch (26/08/22). - 26 August 2022
Hey! It's been a while right?! I had a player reporting an issue with the Best Death stat as he was trying to complete the whole game deathless. The best death stat was not updating if the best time was not beaten. My bad, this patch should solve the issue, now these two stats are independent and should be saved as expected. Thanks to レツ for finding this bug!! Michael.
- Canon inputs update. - 3 January 2022
Heya! This is a tiny update adding a new setting to the way you can control the canons with the mouse. Before, you could center the cursor on the canon upon activation, then aim by moving the mouse around it. Or you could pre-aim the canon with your mouse cursor on the screen, and this was still relative to the canon location. I have added a new setting so you can pre-aim with the cursor on the screen, but this time based on the center of the screen. This means you can pre-aim, and this will not be based on the canon screen-space location, but based on the screen center. The on-screen aiming had an issue, if the camera was moving upon canon activation, your aiming was changing. With the new setting, the camera or the canon position won't affect your aiming, because it's based on the center of the screen (the center of the screen represent the center of the canon). You'll have to experim…
- Mouse cursor and Checkpoints fix. - 28 December 2021
Hola! How are you doing? Merry Christmas BTW! This is a tiny update adding the option to lock or unlock the mouse cursor to the game window. This is mainly useful for those playing in windowed mode or those that have multiple monitors. I have also patched the checkpoints, they were not working as expected when you were playing the level without checkpoints. This is now fixed, but if you encounter more issues please let me know. And I have fixed a typo in the pause screen, Volcano and Cliff were swapped. This is fixed. That's it for now! Thanks for playing, thanks for reporting bugs, and have a great end of the year! Michael.
- Tiny Update - 25 November 2021
Hello! A quick update to fix an issue with the checkpoint's best times. Using the level quick restart right after a checkpoint was messing up the order the checkpoints were recorded. This is now fixed! In case you think one of the times in your checkpoint list is looking suspicious, or if you have experienced the bug, you can press Control+R at the beginning of the level (Before pressing starting the level). This will delete all your checkpoint times for this level, allowing you to start fresh. I have also moved a bit down a hitbox below the flippers, in some cases, the ball was touching it and was being killed for no real reason (unfair!). This adjustment should fix the issue, but if you experience this bug after this update, please let me know. And that's it for now! Be sure to check your ranking in the new leaderboards (Normal mode, B-Roll mode, and Full-Game mode). Also, not that I…
- Speedy Update! - 24 November 2021
Hola! I hope everyone is doing well! I know it has been a long time, I needed a break from Super High Ball dev. Anyway! I have added 3 new leaderboards to the game, you can now see your ranking for the completion of the Normal Mode, the B-Roll Mode, and the Full-Game! These are visible from the "progression screen => Leaderboard". I am displaying your times, only if you have completed the modes, but nothing stops you from checking the leaderboard. Your times and deaths will be uploaded when the game starts, so the only thing you have to do, is to launch the game, head to the progression screen, and see how good you're doing! I mean, if you have completed the modes of course :) That's it for now! See you soon. Michael.
- Nice small update! - 31 October 2021
Hey! Here is a tiny update adding a feature requested by a player. It adds a per checkpoint personal best time! I could do a long blog post to explain how it works, but it's quite straightforward. The only thing I want to highlight, is the best time per checkpoint was not recorded before this update, meaning that even if you have played a level, you won't have any data to display. So you will have to play the level again to populate your save file. Hope you like this little addition! See you soon :) Michael.
- October Patch! - 28 October 2021
Hey everyone! Yeah still updating the game I know. While I was on holiday, got a few bug reports from users so I decided to quickly fix them so I can carry on working on what I wanted to add to the game. There was an issue with the resetting of some assets when using the "press A to respawn" option (The thing that waits for your input after each death). Well, this is now fixed! I was previously saving the achievements progress with a save file "ach.sav", the game was checking if the achievement was unlocked, and if not, it was sending the unlock command to Steam. I had a few reports from a few players where achievements were not unlocking, this was probably coming from a miss connection with Steam at the moment I send the instruction, and because the achievement unlock was saved on the file, the player couldn't unlock it again. Anyway, I am not checking this file anymore before sending…
- Nice little patch - 21 September 2021
Hello! This is a nice little patch fixing a bad little bug with the timer! Next, I'll try to add a new feature that will save your best time per checkpoint and display if you are doing better or worst than your PB, but that might take a bit of time to come as I'll be away for a month at the end of the week. Anyway, see you soon!
- Tiny Update! - 15 September 2021
Hello! This is a tiny update adding a new setting. You can now decide if the mouse cursor snaps to the blue canons when you activate them, or if the mouse cursor stays where it was on the screen. This allows you to pre-aim the canons as you can do with a controller. When the setting is set to NOT center the cursor onto the canon, the mouse cursor will be shown all the time but with a crosshair, then will turn into a directional cross when the canon is activated. That's it for now! Have fun! Ah also, thanks a lot to the players who have written a positive review for the game, on top of helping, it makes me happy :) Michael.
- Small Update - 8 September 2021
Hi! A small update that adds the option to disable the analog triggers from the gamepad. Head to the setting and toggle it if you don't want analogs input from your triggers. This is mainly useful for Nintendo controllers. Unreal detects a controller, and it assumes it has analog triggers, making it impossible to pass the 3rd tutorial. I have fixed a bug with level 5 in the B-Roll mode, the ball was getting destroyed when approaching a flipper at the beginning. Thanks!
- Patch regarding keyboard bindings. - 6 September 2021
Hey! This is a small patch fixing the key binding bug that was removing and adding input for actions and mixing them. This is now fixed for the gameplay bindings. I would suggest resetting to default and then setting the bindings afterward. Please report any issues in the forums, or on the Discord of the game. Thanks 1Kick234 for finding this bug :) See you soon! Michael.
- Quick Patch! - 26 August 2021
Heya! I hope you are having a nice summer! This is a small patch fixing the blue canon aiming. At certain screen resolutions, the mouse cursor was not placed at the center of the blue canon when you were activating this one. This should now be fixed. At least on my side :) Thanks! Michael.
- Release Patch 14 - 16 July 2021
It's been a while right? Quick patch to fix the global time statistic in the progression screen. There was a bug spotted by a player, I've fixed it, but realized the formatting of the time was incorrect when the player had less than an hour of playtime. Should be fixed now. Cheers!
- Sunday Patch - 11 July 2021
Last patch this week! Small one. -When playing without checkpoints, the timestamps will be updated, but you won't have a CP noise or animation. -The speedometer is just displaying the speed, no more distracting bars. Voila voila!
- Release Patch 13 - 9 July 2021
Another patch! yeaaa Thanks to the community for helping me improve the game! You can now use the keyboard and the gamepad at the same time, this is mostly useful if you want to use the stick of the gamepad to aim the blue cannons. Just make sure to disable the mouse cursor in the settings (the mouse will have priority over the gamepad). I have added a speedometer to the game UI. it will display the current ball speed at the bottom of the screen. Turn it on from the Game settings. It goes from 0 to 1000 which is the max speed of the ball. In some instances, the boosters can make the ball go faster than this. I have added a collision box above the flippers, this should prevent the ball to get kicked above the ground. Level changes: Made a booster bigger on Level 04. Added some fire near a teleporter on Level 08. That's it for now! See you soon! Michael.
- Rollback in the meantime a fixe is applied. - 9 July 2021
I'm rolling back to the previous version as there is a blocking bug with the blue cannon. Once fixed I'll push a new update. Sorry about that!
- Quick Patch - 8 July 2021
Keyboard only: Quick patch that removes the need to press the L/R shift keys on the keyboard once inside a blue cannon. You can now press L/R Shift before activating the cannon, this one will start to rotate in the direction you are pressing once the ball is snapped.
- Release Patch 12 - 8 July 2021
Hola! -The bridges in the peak world were not resetting when you were playing without CP - Fixed. -The blue canon camera changes were not resetting when you were playing without CP - Fixed. -CPs were still visible and making sounds when you were playing without CP - Fixed. That's it for now! Ciao!
- Release Patch 11 (The frustration patch!) - 7 July 2021
Hi! How is everyone doing? After watching some people playing Super High Ball, and having some feedback from a few players, I have decided to find a way to make the game less frustrating. The main element that was mentioned, was the lasers. They were always activated after a respawn, making the player slow down and wait to carry on, so every time you died, you had to wait for the lasers to stop again. The lasers will not be activated after a respawn (in most cases), I have shifted their timing so their activation is delayed, allowing you to pass straight after a respawn. I took this opportunity to reduce their activation time, some of them were activated for 1 second, I have reduced that for all the lasers. The maximum activation time is around 0.5 seconds. I hope this helps to reduce the time you have to wait to be able to continue. This means the times in the leaderboard or the times…
