- Indie Questions for the Gamers Out There... - 12 March 2019
So, we have been hit with the feedback "One year old game and only nine reviews, going to pass on this." Actual feedback, so we would like to know, what do you all expect from the indie developers??? Do you prefer games to be complete when released? Let's get a little personal; Did we communicate enough, too much or not enough? Was providing game updates throughout our development a positive or negative? We have been going back and forth internally, so your responses would help clear up our debates. ~Maven
- A Year and Some Change... - 27 February 2019
We got slammed for our PRE - ALPHA and all I can say is, I get it! Now a year and some months later, we have pushed a game update that we stand by as indie game developers! Support has been up and down but, we believed and still believe in Don't Bleed! We have come a long, long, long way, from the negative feedback to positive and yes, we read it all! We have dissected Don't Bleed and improved on it. For those indie developers, stick with your game, it ain't easy but, if you believe in your game (in your gut) hold on! - GAME UPDATE IS LIVE! - 25 February 2019
We have cross a major milestone, the Don't Bleed game update is live. There has been a ton of updates, game design changes, and more. Thank you for your patience and support! We didn't quit and we are very proud of this update! We also have more in store for you, just stick with us, it will only be getting better. Major Updates: First Person to Third Person (bonus) Weapons with abilities Audio (Feedback, Background, etc.) More Characters Character Customization Weapon Customization Improved Lobby System Server by Country And More... - Audio, Audio and more Audio - 20 December 2018
Hello, so delays do happen and we did hit a snag however, with setbacks comes breakthroughs. We have been implementing the audio and audio feedback for better gameplay and immersion. And then UNITY just released the new engine :( So, what does that mean? It means we will have very, very late nights pushing the build into Unity 2018.3. It has been a long time coming, Don't Bleed has morphed into something that we are very proud of. The journey hasn't been easy but, well worth it! So, this is me venting! I recognize we aren't AAA but, for what this team has accomplished over the past year has been extraordinary to say the least. A small group was able to put together a game that if people played would actually enjoy! We took an idea and with feedback from the community we made it better, with support internally we made it better, with third party contractors we made it better and with interns we made it better! All we ask is for a chance, give us a shot, we haven't QUIT yet and won't! We are Indie Game developers, that is why we are here, not just for glory but, for the spirit of gaming! - In Game SNEAK PEEK p2... (Still in Development) - 25 October 2018
So, I've been sneaky getting these images for the developers (they aren't happy but, I feel it is important to let you all know). As of today, more art assets are going into the game and we have decided to get rid of the portals. If you've never seen them, never-mind they are gone now. The player lobby has been added, you have the opportunity to see the other players prior to dropping into the level. Now GREAT news, AUDIO, yes AUDIO (yes, I'm yelling) will be getting worked on. We recognize audio feedback, background music/sfx etc. is crucial for player immersion. Can't tell you everything but, we are really excited about the update coming! - Late Night Chronicles... - 18 October 2018
Okay, so we have been very, very, very, very, very busy (that was a lot of very's). You spoke we listened, animations have improved significantly, third person perspective (camera) has been modified, environment makes more sense now (players were like "what the hell bro, why is there a building right here?"), optimization for 15 players has been retooled for faster entry into lobby and game, so now we don't lose any players in the transition. (I hate run on sentences so I figured here would be a good stopping point!) Some additions, two new characters and weapons, also the new UI, theses things will give you a better feel for the game. I will be posting images soon with everything that has been posted. Don't give up on us, we are still here proving that an "INDIE STUDIO" can produce good (to great) games. Supporters, we are truly excited with the content modifications that we are making. I would say even after I gameplay tested Don't Bleed I wanted to play more, I wanted more levels and I wanted more time in game (and I was not the only one feeling this way). Please be patient with us, this journey started back in January and here we are in August and the growth of Don't Bleed has been significant!
