- ONLINE DOWN for MONSTER PROM! 😱 - 10 July 2025
Hi everyone, We come bearing bad news: the Monster Prom (to be clear, this refers only to Monster Prom 1) online mode has stopped working due to a recent shutdown of the Unity server. This is due to a decision coming from Unity, and it affects all games which use their online technology (Unet), so it is out of our hands. The decision implies that we must rebuild online mode from the ground up. That is what we have been doing for a few months already, but as you can probably guess it's no easy feat. By our own estimate, it should be ready in 2-3 months (maybe less). We’re prioritizing the fix on PC first. Once it's ready, we'll make a closed beta so users can help us test it, all the while enjoying the sweet sweet joys of online multiplayer mode again. It's a win-win situation! - Traditional Chinese Localization launches just in time for Lunar New Year! - 27 January 2022
First of all, we’d like to wish a very happy Lunar New Year to all of you celebrating the transition to the Year of the Tiger! It’s shaping up to be a great one not only for Coach, but for all of Spooky High’s faculty and student body. The first bit of good news for the year comes in the form of a new language update! Traditional Chinese localization has been made available for all of Monster Prom’s and its DLC, Second Term, in-game texts and will become accessible as soon as this update goes live. It represents a big stride in making Monster Love a global phenomenon and we proudly stand by it, along with our partners at Whisper Games that made the localization possible! Attention students, It has been brought to the faculty’s attention that a record in Spooky High attendance has been set. Now, not all of the 5k Steam reviews we’ve received are glowing, but most of them are pretty wholesome for our neck of the woods. So, in accordance with school policy, we’ve decided to give the student body the opportunity to support us further with even more reviews. However, for that to happen, we must first bolster the ranks of Spooky High students with some new recruits. Long story short, here are a bunch of free Steam keys to be enjoyed in a “first come, first served” fashion: Please don’t sell them to shady resellers or Vera will sue. As the localization of Monster Prom in Simplified Chinese has been a “trial and error” type of task, we are glad to be able to bring you some good news for a change. Based on your feedback, we have provided certain fixes that should ensure smoother playthroughs from now on. We also found the time to localize the last two content updates - The You Do You Valentine’s Day update and the latest Thank You update.
