- Version 2.1 Now Live! - 12 July 2018
Version 2.1 is now live on Steam! In version 2.1 we've tweaked the control setup for the game by changing the jump button from trusty old Shift to E. Shift had a good run but it is true that it can be annoying in the early going with the Sticky Keys. After some careful testing and consideration we think we've come up with a nice change. On top of the new jump and slide button, we've also added hotkeys for each power Bernie and the unlockable characters can use. With the hotkeys, you can change your active power now with the keyboard as opposed to just the mouse, providing some interesting new gameplay dynamics. Finally we've tossed in a few balance tweaks throughout the game as well as some new obstacles on each of the 3 Endless Runner stages. Enjoy!
- PC and Mobile Version - 12 April 2018
Was asked a few times so figured I'd just make a post here about the difference between the PC and the mobile version. An FAQ so to speak! The first, big difference is the mobile version has in-app purchases and the PC version has no in-app purchases, it's the complete game from the start with accessible unlockables. So essentially to get all the content you get in the PC version you'd have to spend the same amount or more in the mobile version. The PC version also has enhanced visuals and sound, and faster gameplay. Obviously they play quite differently as well with one utilizing a touch screen and the other a keyboard and mouse. I consider this release the essential version of the game and didn't want to have in-app purchases hindering the experience in any way, it's the Essential Bernard!
