Why so big? - Some of you who use Windows 10N couldn't start scenario and were getting black screen. We made changes to cutscenes and it should fix black screen blocker at the beginning of the game for Windows 10N users. What's fixed/improved: 1. Removed exploit with infinite defunding. 2. Removed blocker caused by president notes appearing after certain law. 3. Pen should not get in a cursor way when accepting or rejecting law. 4. Added descriptions to locked map actions on map with info where to unlock them. 5. Removed duplicated question in questionnaire 6. Fixed conteractions in some laws. 7. Removed some map events. 8. Fixed changes per turn from projects. Welcome Presidents! It’s been an exciting release day! Hopefully, you managed to reach the election and even get re-elected! On the development end, we have spent the last few hours working on fixing bugs and trying to create a more balanced experience. The things we are working on: The game has an unbalanced learning curve and very high difficulty - We’re currently trying to make the game much less punishing while keeping the challenge for players who already figured out all the tricks and starts. Map has a few bugs - Some countries were left behind in the process of assigning them neighbors. Welcome Future Presidents! The time has come to have a little chit-chat about the last few years of development. Some of you are new here, others have been with us for years, and all of you are waiting for the next week’s release! We dug up some ancient screenshots and decided to unearth some old features that haunt us to this day. Some of them got substantial upgrades while others were banished to the shadow dimension. The entire UI got a facelift, we decided to ditch the see-through brown color scheme and make the game actually pleasant to look at. Reading is a huge part of the playthrough, so better contrast and nicer colors will strain your eyes much less. The map has gone through more iterations than we can count. Future Presidents! We are in the last stretch! There are still a few things we must do before you can sit behind the Resolute Desk and rule with iron fists. We are working on tidying up some leftover parts of the story that were a bit forgotten during development, as well as many fixes and adjustments to the gameplay. Here are a few small quality of life changes and fixes that we worked on in recent weeks. We revamped the economy surrounding Action Points. To make it more pleasant to players, Action Points will be a part of their daily income. There will be moments when some actions can change the number of points players receive. Passive income or spending on Map Events will influence your daily balance, so player choices will matter without stopping them from continuing their game. This is especially true when the game is rooted in American and global politics. We decided to work on updating parts of the game to make sure it’s not falling behind the current state of affairs. Future Presidents! Thank you for your cooperation. Because of your relentless feedback and helpful ideas, we could find what needs to be changed or added to the game. The playtests allowed us to find and identify many problems and mistakes found in the current version of the game. When we implemented those, the demo seemed to run fine… Most of the time. This did not mean that everything was perfectly fine. This run of the demo has brought much-needed feedback and taught us to the following: the mystery of a disappearing cursor - it just went missing in various moments of the game. After sending multiple search parties and looking into the code, we found most problems that caused this.
