• Ghost hunt - 23 October 2022

  There is a ghost somewhere out there! See if you can find it and post a screenshot in the community page to win. The elusive ghost has gone by for years unspotted, though it is rumored to be on a planet that is red. There are also rumors of old video footage of the ghost as well, some where out there. If you are able to find the ghost, post a screenshot for a reward - I plan to add an in game chest for everyone if the ghost is found!

• Steam Deck Support Added! - 26 August 2022

  I have tested Planetary Settlers on the Steam Deck, and it works! I created and added a custom Steam Deck controller configuration that is used by default. A big thanks to Darth Ukar for letting me use his Steam Deck, and publishing the controller configuration to make this possible! Controls are mapped just like they are for a controller now, and the menu is touch screen, or you can use the mouse cursor to navigate the menu.

• Special Delivery for April Fool's Event - 8 May 2022

  There is now a bronze chest delivered at the Earth Mobile Research Station!

• Venus Sky City - 18 April 2022

  Visit the new Venus Sky City in this new update! It is a repairable city - you can repair the fan propellers, windows, and ship, and you earn ability points for doing so! It is made of a very light weight material, similar to Styrofoam, but far more durable. There are a number of coins and codex pickups there as well. To return to the surface of Venus, just jump down, and fall to the ground. The city itself resides in a relatively habitable zone, which is true to life - there really is a relatively habitable area in the upper atmosphere of Venus where the temperature and pressure are decent. It is mostly CO2 there though, so you would have to bring your own oxygen, and protection against the traces of sulphuric acid. It would certainly be an interesting area to explore, who knows - life may exist in this upper atmosphere of Venus. Here are some more images of the city:

• April Fool's Event - 30 March 2022

  There are a number of jokes in Planetary Settlers, some of which are around all the time, and some of which show up only in April! If you find a joke (big or small), take a screen shot and share it on the community page! Every joke found between now and the end of April will increase the in-game reward to be added in-game for all players! I plan to deliver a chest to the Mobile Research Station on Earth, depending on how many jokes people find. The type of chest depends on the number of jokes found: No jokes found = a regular chest to be delivered to the Earth Mobile Research station in game, and more jokes found increases the level of the chest. 1 joke found and screenshot shared = a bronze chest 2 jokes = a silver chest 3 jokes = a gold chest 4 jokes = a diamond chest Every 5 jokes = another chest, with like upgrades per extra joke found. • Mercury Mayhem - 17 January 2022

  Some mayhem has occurred in the Mercury base! There is now a broken elevator, repairable laser art, and space slug silliness! You are able to repair these items with coins and elements, and use the elevator once repaired to get up to the office. There, you can wreak some mayhem of your own if desired (it is fun to throw the computers out the window) ːwinter2019joyfultearsdogː All missions on Mercury are now completable (you can get all the medals now). There is now a display that shows you how many coins you have now as well

• Presenting Presents - 21 December 2021

  With the holidays upon us, a mysterious stranger has left gifts for you, throughout the solar system! Be sure to collect many of them to be able to buy resources later, these gifts are currently one of the best ways of getting coins! These will eventually be useful for buying resources and items. The gifts disappear at the end of the year (but you keep what you collect), so hurry up and get them while they are here! Now you can hear the snow crunch beneath your treads as you traverse Antarctica and Pluto. Carpet also has its own sound effect as well now. Enjoy the gifts and the new sounds!

• Beta 1.26 - Presents and Ground Sounds - 21 December 2021

  Christmas presents added that are present in December Snow ground sound and carpet ground sound (by Kyle Misko) added! Ground sounds are now complete!

• Can you beat the "wrong way" challenge? - 6 December 2021

  Can you make it straight from the start of a normal game, all the way to Pluto? For this challenge, just go the wrong way, as shown in my YouTube video. I invite people to try this, and make a video of it as well, post it to YouTube, and post a comment with a link to the video here. There is an in-game reward at the end of Pluto for those able to make it there. Go to Saturn, and try to make it to Pluto using only the ability points from the challenges from: Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and any points you pick up along the way to Saturn. Here is a video on how to start the challenge. Start a new game in Normal mode, then follow the video! I added a new sound effect for treads on stone surfaces (made by Kyle Misko) I moved the Neptune blimp closer to the Quivakon base (so the trip to the base isn't nearly as long). I have applied a few bug fixes as well (some sounds were not playing correctly)

• Now we're talkin' - 26 November 2021

  Now all levels in the game has voice! Voice has just been added to Neptune and Pluto, which were the last levels needing voiceover! If you don't hear voice while playing, set the volume for voice by pausing with "p", and sliding the voice slider (at the bottom of the screen) a bit to the right. Likewise, you can turn it down to 0 if you don't want voice. Oh, yeah, and there is a sale going on!

• Secrets Galore - 2 November 2021

  While the ghost has eluded detection (he comes out in October), there are still quite a few different secrets to be found! See what you can find and earn you and your fellow players more in-game rewards! Just post your screenshots to the community hub as you find them. If you find a silent space slug that hasn't been found already, you get to name it! The ones that have already been found say something if you bump into them or get near them. • Toss-up-date! - 26 October 2021

  You can now throw objects with your air cannon! Simply right click to pick up an object, and if you want to throw it, left click to throw it! It will blast with the power of your projectile launcher (controlled by your projector ability). If you want to just set the object down, you can still do so with right click (as you could previously). Light objects launch at higher velocity. Now there is a new sound effect for when you are rolling over wood!

• Scavenger Hunt - 10 October 2021

  There have been rumored ghost sightings again! If anyone can find the ghost, post a screenshot to the community board to earn all the players an in-game award! If you find any space slugs in your searching, post those as well, for additional in game rewards. There is also rumor of a rare albino space slug somewhere in game - if you see one and post to the community hub, this will help further research in that area! More game content is on the way, I have been working on some other interesting projects, which have given me a number of cool ideas to add to Planetary Settlers, which should be on the way soon!

• The Ground Beneath my Treads - 3 October 2021

  I have added a new sound effect developed by Kyle Misko, now you can hear gravel crunch beneath your treads as you roll along, particularly when you are rolling fast! I also fixed the bug that was preventing Planetary Settlers from displaying correctly in full screen. Please let me know if you encounter any further issues.

• Treasure Chest Rewards Update - 27 June 2021

  Treasure Chests are here! Pass quizzes to get the following: 60% = Wood Treasure Chest: elements that make up the chest 70% = Bronze Treasure Chest: 2 coins + elements that make up the bronze chest 80% = Silver Treasure Chest: 4 coins + silver (which makes up the chest) 90% = Gold Treasure Chest: 8 coins + gold (which makes up the chest) 100% = Diamond Treasure Chest: 16 coins + the element that makes up the chest These rewards are in addition to the ability points and medals that are already awarded for completing quizzes. The treasure chests can be collected repeatedly by passing the quizzes repeatedly. The quizzes are different per attempt, and pull 10 questions from a list of 25 questions. This is the April Fools event reward, and is planned to remain in the game! I plan to add stuff to buy with the coins soon. You can currently see how many coins you have by seeing how much cobalt…

• April Fool's Rewards on the way! - 2 May 2021

  Good job on finding some of the April Fool's pranks! I am surprised no one saw the "ship flat tire" dialogue, the phone in the toilet dialogue, and the purple sun as viewed from Earth. Don't worry, they will be back next April though! As a reward for all the secrets found, I am working on a loot chest system, where you will get elements and various other prizes for completing quizzes. Expect this in the next major update!

• April Fool's Update - 31 March 2021

  For the month of April, there will be 3 April Fool's jokes throughout the game (the one with the cell phone is planned to stay longer)! Pickups will be awarded in game for jokes found - comment here and / or post a screenshot if you find a joke (ones that have been in the game already count too).

• April Fools Update Beta 20 - 30 March 2021

  Added 3 April Fool's changes to find (which show up during April). One of them (involving a cell phone) will stay around all the time. Fixed a bug where the settings menu was displaying over the first loading page in certain situations.
