Hello everyone! It's been a long time since I last shared an update on the development of Storm Chasers. As many of you already know, I'm still working on version v0.10, which will bring many major changes. One of those changes, which is already finished, is the new way to obtain equipment and upgrades (cars, clothes, etc.) in the game. XP will no longer be used; instead, players will have to save money to buy these upgrades directly in stores within towns and cities. Today I would like to share the new developments made with the v0.9 version which will arrive as a public beta at the end of June. FREE ROAMING In this video you will see a lot of the new features added to Free Roaming mode in the new version: LIGHTING As many of you already know the lighting in v0.9 has been totally remade and has continued to improve and over the last few weeks: TORNADO CATEGORY A tornado will not have a known category until it begins to strike objects, trees, cars, or anything that might indicate its category. Hello Steam! It's been a while since something were posted here and I would like to apologize for it. Today I would like to share all the progress made with the v0.9 version. LIGHTING The lighting system has been totally remade to get better looking colors. BUILDING MODELS All of the buildings/tree models are being replaced with simpler ones (less polygons) to optimise performances. The car repair garage will now be separated from the gas station. Destruction of farms and city buildings will be improved. BUILDING INTERIORS All of the buildings/houses will have a realistic interior. You will be able to access to your house, building's rooftop or any other opened building (This is not Thief Simulator) ANIMALS All of the animal models have been updated... with Ragdoll! Hello Storm Chasers! A new update (v0.7.2) is now available to fix remaining bugs. New Features Feel the Power (control a tornado) is now available in singleplayer free roaming. Modifications Online Feel The Power duration has been set to 20min (instead of 10min). Missions 6 and 7 duration has been reduced by 1min. Bugfixing Famous "Draw" bug in online versus game mode has been fixed. Players were, sometimes, spawning in the same house in online free roaming. Sometimes, in free roaming game mode, portable gas cans were not available in the gas station store. Warning residents option was available even when the house was destroyed. Tornado's icon on the radar was rotating in online Feel The power.

Hello Storm Chasers! A new update (v0.7.1) is available to fix critical bugs. Bugfixing - Missions with multiple tornadoes were imposible to complete - "Same point of view" penalty do not apply if you shot a different tornado - Free Roaming was not working after playing online versus mode - Reduce tornadoes transparency - Reduce physics objects depending on graphics settings (very low, low, medium, high, ultra) - If a car is parked too much time in a forbidden area, it will respawn (resetting upgrades and paying respawn price) instead of disconnecting player

Hello Storm Chasers! The new v0.7 update is now live (at last!). Changelog Features Add a laptop in the car. You will now be able to upgrade your gears directly from your laptop and navigate through the map on your radar. This also adds a new feature to be able to upload your photos and probe's data. With this change you will still earn points when you take pictures but no money. To earn cash you will have to upload your photos and probe's data to your laptop. This upload will last longer if you don't upgrade your bandwidth. Uploading your photos will also free up space in your camera storage. It is always better to upgrade your camera storage to avoid having to upload your photos right when you are chasing a tornado. Hi guys, I just sent an hotfix version that was ready last saturday but I wasn't at home to set it live. --- BUGFIXING --- - It was imposible to reconnect after leaving online game - Tutorial was hiding the mouse cursor - The radar was not showing during missions - Storms colors were not rendering correctly when playing online - Music was sometimes disabled while showing main menu Nothing big this time, but it was a needed update.

Hi guys! Another hotfix update is now available on Steam to fix a critical bug. Changelog 0.6.3: --- ADJUSTMENTS --- - Make storms increasing and decreasing in strength on the radar - Make tornadoes increasing and decreasing in strength on the radar depending on the distance with the ground (So it is impossible to know the strength of a tornado on the radar before it touched the ground) - Improve flashlight range - Decrease time between storms to avoid being 30mn without any tornado --- BUGFIXING --- - The radar was not working correctly after respawning car Thank you for your help reporting bugs.
