- Happy Holidays from the Oxymoron Games Team! - 19 December 2025
Hi everybody, It's hard to believe the end of the year is upon us once again! So, let us take the opportunity to wish you all Happy Holidays and relaxing times with your loved ones! Looking back at 2025 - what has the Oxymoron team been up to? Well, there was no time to take the foot off the gas yet as we've been pushing hard to complete the promised Early Access updates of Heroes of Science and Fiction and get us close to its full release (which is now not too far away). We've added two new playable factions, two campaigns, the map editor, a lot of content and features and even managed to successfully go through the terrifying process of renaming a game. Thanks to everybody who helped with testing and also to everybody who purchased either of our games during the year or has written a review! On the outside it looks like the whole game development industry is in a state of turmoil, but…
- Would you like to help us test the next update? - 18 December 2025
Hi everybody, We have a small update of Project Hospital ready for a quick round of beta testing before it gets released to the whole player base. While the team has been busy working on Heroes of Science and Fiction as we're now very close to the full release of our second game, we keep fixing game-breaking bugs in Project Hospital that get still reported every now and then (and there was also the Unity security vulnerability that needed patching too - luckily, there have been no reports of it being exploited so far). As usually, we have put the new patch on a beta branch first, so, if you'd like to help us with the last round of testing especially to check different kinds of hardware and setups, you can switch to beta-patch-43-test under Betas in the game's Properties in your Steam library. The release notes are listed below as always: Project Hospital 1.2.23726 - Patch 43 Fixes and c…

Hi everybody, While the team has been busy as we aim to release Early Access of Silence of the Siren this year, we still keep fixing any issues in Project Hospital that you report (and that don't turn out to be caused by incompatible mods or local issues with the game install. :) We've been seeing these quite regularly, especially in the last few months). As with previous updates, we have put the new version on a beta branch first. If you'd like to help us with the last round of testing, especially to check different kinds of hardware and setups, you can switch to beta-patch-41-test in Properties in your Steam library, try the patch early and let us know if you run into any issues! Also, we would like to thank everybody who bought Project Hospital during the last 12 months or participated in the currently running beta test of Silence of the Siren, our upcoming turn based strategy game. We visited several conferences across Europe including Gamescom and EGX and had a great time showing the game to a lot of you. With Project Hospital, we were mostly helping players with the occasional technical issue and some compatibility problems on the Steam Deck. Also thanks for a few very nice messages with feedback and ideas we received during the year! Th…

Hello everyone! With the year 2022 almost at the end, we would like to take this opportunity to wish you a Merry Holiday and a Happy New Year. We know it was a difficult year for many of you and new challenges didn’t miss our studio as well. But in the end we are excited about what awaits us in 2023. Even though active development of Project Hospital has ended and no more DLC is planned, we continue to support the game. We added Steam Deck support so you can play the game everywhere. With new patches we tried to improve the game with recent patch 40 being the last one of this year. Our biggest event though was the announcement of Silence of the Siren, a sci-fi turn-based strategy game. For us it is an opportunity to try something new and we hope many of you will join Early Access which we plan to release next year. The team will now need to recharge a little bit and will be taking a hol…

- Project Hospital is coming to Steam Deck! - 28 February 2022
Hi everybody, we have some quite exciting news: after a bit of testing we're pleasantly surprised by how well Project Hospital works on the Steam Deck! As you may know, we never planned a console version because of both controls and performance, but the touchpad on the Deck really makes this possible. We're finishing a version with controls mapped to the Deck's input, properly using the virtual keyboard and including some small tweaks, we plan to make it available for you with the next patch later this week and hopefully we'll get the game verified by Valve soon. In the meantime we'd love to hear your opinions: Do any of you plan to get the Steam Deck or have already preordered it? What are your experiences playing games with a controller using a virtual cursor?
