- Now Testing! Clockwork Ambrosia - Patch v1.0.5 [beta] - 18 September 2026
Patch v1.0.5 is now available for Clockwork Ambrosia on the \ branch! Surprise, we’re doing another one, and this one has some pretty big changes! This patch's main feature is an update to the game’s fast travel mechanic – the Warp Crystals – which were previously only unlocked after finding the Warpshard somewhere in the world. After taking in player feedback, we’ve decided to make them functional as soon as the player has encountered two Warp Crystals. Additionally, the UI for fast travel has been improved, and there’s even a few more Warp Crystals in the world than before! In addition to that, we have even more UI improvements, bugfixes, and all-around QoL updates. Read on to see what’s in! As ever, we’ll keep this patch on \ for a couple weeks or so before pushing it to the main branch. Thanks to everyone for the continued support! Please let us know what you think, and please pleas…
- Clockwork Ambrosia - Patch v1.0.4 - 9 September 2026
Patch v1.0.4 is now available for Clockwork Ambrosia! For those who didn't see the Beta post, this patch brings a handful of bugfixes and some pathing improvements to the game world, but the bigger feature is one that’s been requested of us a number of times now: native Steam Input support! This actually ended up requiring a bigger overhaul than we expected, so it took longer than we wanted. (We like to crow about our engine being a double-edged sword, and this is one of those times we felt the stabby part more!) A lot of code got changed and we're not naïve enough to believe our implementation is perfect across the board, so please let us know if you run into any control issues, even minor ones! We're planning another (fairly significant!) patch for release around the end of the month, so we'll be watching out for bug reports to resolve along the way. Thanks for playing! FEATURESCONTRO…
- Clockwork Ambrosia - Patch v1.0.4 [Beta] - 26 August 2026
Patch v1.0.4 \ is now available on Steam via the beta branch! It can be accessed by selecting “beta” under the Game Versions and Betas menu for Clockwork Ambrosia. This patch brings a handful of bugfixes and some pathing improvements to the game world, but the bigger feature is one that’s been requested of us a number of times now: native Steam Input support! This actually ended up requiring a bigger overhaul than we expected, so it took longer than we wanted. We like to crow about our engine being a double-edged sword, and this is one of those times we felt the stabby part more!Because it did result in such a big change to our controller code, we’re going to leave v1.0.4 on the beta branch longer than most patches, and we’d appreciate if anyone could take the time to try it out and let us know if they have any controller issues. (Or if previous issues are now resolved! Wouldn’t that be…
- Clockwork Ambrosia - Patch v1.0.3 - 7 July 2026
Howdy, y'all! After releasing the game and pushing out the first couple patches, we took some time off to recharge our batteries a bit. (Turns out, it's exhausting work to release a game. Who knew!) We're now winding back up to address more issues and bugs. For Patch v1.0.3, we're shaking off the summer rust with some simple features and bugfixes. (So many bugfixes!)Notably, this patch does NOT include fixes for a recently-discovered softlock involving crouching in a certain location, nor for various controller input issues. These are among our high priority fixes to address soon. For what this patch DOES include, read on:FEATURESGameplayThe player can no longer take damage from the Pioneer (Mines Boss) during its death sequence.Depo's shop now levels up when the player finds the Mt. Yore Branch, even if the boss of Fungal Grotto isn't yet defeated.Changes to loot drops for some enemies:Mo…

Hotfix 1.0.1.1: fixes a crash when loading a save file that had the same item equipped to two different slots.Patch 1.0.1 fixed the ol' "one item in two slots" bug, but it had the consequence of causing a crash for players who were already using that bug! This hotfix should address that.

- A li'l Clockwork Hotfix - 18 May 2026
Massive thanks to everyone who's tried out Clockwork Ambrosia! Been a big week for us, launching our first game and all, but we're not taking a break just yet. A bigger patch is coming down the pipe soon, and for today we're issuing this quick update to fix some major issues players have been reporting. Changes: The title menu now defaults to 'Continue' and the prompt to override save files now defaults to 'Cancel' (yeah, it should've been this way all along!) Fixes for collision detection. This should help with various cases where players could clip through terrain and/or get stuck somewhere unexpected. (And not even in the fun way!) Our plans are to continue supporting Clockwork Ambrosia with bugfixes and QoL updates. We're watching what folks are saying and taking notes, so please keep the feedback coming!

Hello, everyone!I just wanted to take a quick moment to update everyone on Steam Deck support for Clockwork Ambrosia with some bad news... but also some good news!9 April Update! We are now testing a Steam Deck compatible build in our Steam Playtest! If all goes well, Steam Deck support (at least Playable status) should be available on launch! More to come...Old NewsThe ): NewsFirst, as those who have tried it will already know - unfortunately, right now Clockwork Ambrosia simply doesn't run on the Steam Deck. That's the bad news. The (: NewsThe good news is we want to play our little metroidvania on Steam Deck as much as you guys! So I can confirm it is on the roadmap. - Clockwork Ambrosia Demo Re-Release - 13 August 2025
Hello, friends! We’ve been heads down building the rest of Ambrosia's world, tuning up systems, swearing at spreadsheets, and trying to make our bosses slightly less cruel (or more interestingly cruel, depending on your perspective). But we decided it would be a good to take a break from these machinations to bring you something in the meantime - an updated demo that brings a number of fairly substantial changes. For those who already played, the scope of the demo is unchanged in terms of areas and enemies. But we've polished up some rough edges and also added some long-requested features and balance updates. Let’s go through what’s new.🌱 Environment Retexture PassTextures have been reauthored. Everything pops just a little more now. And someone has really gone and made a mess of some of the stages! So if it looks different, that’s because it is. We wanted the demo to better reflect ou…
- Development Update, Spring 2025 - 24 March 2025
Hey there everyone! I’m Lucy, our marketing manager here at OI Games. As of recently and looking forward, I’ll be the one keeping you updated about our projects at OI Games, including Clockwork Ambrosia! So let me catch you up to speed on Clockwork Ambrosia, share some big news for the future, and tell you a story about one of our early bosses, EIK0! First and foremost, we’re moving Clockwork Ambrosia’s release date. Although narrowing the game’s scope is important for creating a balanced player experience, the development team doesn’t want to compromise the overall experience. So they’re going to take a little bit more time, and our new target is November 2025. But I am here to follow up that potentially sad news with potentially fun news! Development has recently completed our alpha phase, and we are now planning to start a public play test in the coming months! There will be plenty o…

You can leave us a note on Discord if you run into any other issues or have any more suggestions! Read on for the full list of changes! Equipment Updated Twinfire Barrels description to say what it does (instead of what it doesn't do) Levels A pesky sign in Timber Edge no longer gives false directions! A dead end in Timber Edge is now a little more obviously dead - but may hold a reward for those who find it! The "Lock Switch" now gives a message reflecting the need for a key (rather than the generic "didn't work" message) Bug Fixes Fixed a wall that was incorrectly showing as a passage on the map Fixed some minor terrain issues
- Clockwork Ambrosia Demo Patch #2 - 7 June 2024
It's a wet hot Clockwork summer for us here at Realmsoft (no, I don't know what that means either), and alongside new trailers and showcases, we are also here to deliver piping hot demo updates, right off the grill. As always, leave us a note on Discord if you run into any other issues or have any more suggestions! Major Changes Missile Launcher Alt Fire: Primed Shots The missile launcher has been updated with an armor-busting alternate fire. We felt the missile launcher needed a little bit of extra oomph and value-add, so we came up with the idea of an alternate fire mode. Try it for yourself and let us know what you think! Map Improvements Save points are now recorded on the map. We're a big fan of the old-school save point system, but we did agree with folks that not tracking where those precious save points were on the map could be a bit stressful. So now they are! The map will see…

- Clockwork Ambrosia Demo Update! Enhanced controller/keyboard support! - 1 March 2024
Wow, folks! We were excited to share our demo with everyone, and we were hoping y'all would like it, but honestly the reception has blown us away! Of course, with a bunch of new players comes a ton of feedback (and pesky buggos), so we have been hard at work to update the game demo to improve the experience. We hope you guys are happy with the result, but leave us a note on Discord if you run into any other issues or have any more suggestions! Major Changes Expanded Controller & Keyboard Support Players can now rebind controls and use keyboards more easily. While Clockwork Ambrosia is best in the hands for controller players, we know not every PC player has - or enjoys - controllers. Clockwork Ambrosia already supported keyboard play, but... okay, we admit it, our keyboard control sensibilities are maybe... unique? (Or ancient?) At the end of the day, it's never a proper keyboard experi…
- Play the Clockwork Ambrosia Demo! - 26 February 2024
Greetings, friends! Clockwork Ambrosia has been toiling long, but we are happy to share our first playable preview of our passion project with the world today! We are hoping many new people discover what we have to share with the world as our 12-year passion project nears ever closer to completion. Help us spread the word by liking and sharing this tweet! PLAYABLE DEMO NOW AVAILABLE You can download it now on PC by going to our store page. The demo features a slice of gameplay from the early chapters of the game, which we feel does a good job of introducing players to the game world without being too overwhelming. Most importantly, of course, over the course of the demo players will be able get their hands on several weapons and not-a-few weapon mods, allowing them to begin to experiment with the deep weapon modification system that makes Clockwork Ambrosia so special. We hope players e…
