- Fat[EX] Courier Simulator - Devlog #84 "Instructions unclear?!" - 17 December 2021
Hello Couriers! What to do if there was a mixup of sorts at your job and you have very unclear directions? While we were making improvements to the suburbs neighbourhood area that you will sometimes visit during your activities as a courier we've suddenly realized how difficult would it be to deliver a package when instructions are not clearly and precisely formulated. It's a scary thought, right? You have a package that you need to deliver today but you're not sure which of the buildings is the one belonging to your customer! For example - imagine having such "clues" as for choosing the right building - there is a car to the side of the building and the person living in the house is from North America. Would you be able to risk the right answer with only those two clues? A true courier has to be very perceptive and notice all the details of the area! Thank you for checking in with us -…
- Fat[EX] Courier Simulator - Devlog #83 "Difficult ways can be crossed too!" - 19 November 2021
Hello Couriers! What to do when the road ends and your objective requires you to drive further? Well, technically speaking you might have two choices in that kind of situation - either leave your truck behind and walk the rest of the distance or try to force your way through the off-road situation! Of course even those limited options might get thinner if you have several packages to deliver - unless you're okay with walking the very same distance several times in a row. Usually then the decision might be to... drive your trusty sidekick despite the difficulties of terrain! It will be an adventure - definitely! Bumpy paths, difficult curves and smell of the dirt in the air - that's something our courier will have to get quickly accustomed to as they deliver their packages. Your abilities as a driver will also be tested - you definitely don't want to hit a bad spot on the road and wreck…
- Fat[EX] Courier Simulator - Devlog #82 "Road ahead is a long one!" - 29 October 2021
Hello Couriers! Our mission is to make your journey in the "courier-verse" amazing - to that effect we need amazing landscapes! After all it's the journey that matters! And the journey needs to be exciting, full of great moments and amazing views! Our level designers and artists are currently busy making sure that all terrains that you will be able to see in the game will look visually pleasing and exciting. Right now we're focused on the landscapes - we want you to feel the distance and immerse yourself during your deliveries. There is a certain amount of relaxation to be squeezed from those moments and we want to make sure that you will be able to get out of the game as much as you can! Driving your van should be fun and engaging - we want you to be able to take in the atmosphere of a true courier. While relaxing behind the wheel you need to remember that you're still a participant of…

- Fat[EX] Courier Simulator - Devlog #81 "The nature is calling!" - 8 October 2021
Hello Couriers! As we've discussed the road in our last devlog it's only fair to spare some words for our environments too! We're currently in a process of enhancing, polishing and improving the environment of the game. We want it to properly add to the story of our courier's job - that sometimes, when you're on the road, you'll have the opportunity to witness some truly stunning views. After all, if you're venturing far away from the city with one of your deliveries the opportunity to take in the atmosphere and scenery presents itself on its own. There should be nothing stopping you from taking a little break - well, aside from deadlines - and enjoying it fully! At the same time we'd love if you - driving this particular way but also many others in the game - asked yourself some questions. Where is this road taking me? What will be behind that curve or slope? These kind of questions mi…
- Fat[EX] Courier Simulator - Devlog #80 "On the road!" - 23 July 2021
Hello Couriers! Much of the time in game you will spend behind a wheel of your trusty truck! And while driving itself can be quite a pleasure - and we'll do our best to ensure that it's exactly the case with our game - sometimes it's also nice to check out the environment that we are smoothly passing while shifting to a next gear. The beautiful view of the mountains might be obstructed by the acoustic screens but we'll definitely have a chance to see more of them in future! We're gradually updating and enhancing the environment of the city but also of the areas outside. We want the city to look visually pleasing but we are also thinking about sensible technical solutions that are realistic - for example the acoustic screens simply make sense to be placed in the areas where noise levels are surpassing a certain level - like close to the factories or heavy work areas. As that is the case…
- Fat[EX] Courier Simulator - Devlog #79 "Delivery to factory!" - 16 July 2021
Hello Couriers! Individual customers are one thing but what about potential deliveries for factories? Working as a courier does not mean that you will only deliver your packages to singular customers. Sometimes your services might be needed in a very particular place - a shop, office or a factory. In this particular example our courier has to visit a factory site - perhaps to deliver some necessary materials without which this particular company simply cannot go on! As always it is us who will save them from this peril - no factory wants to stop the production only because they run out of materials. What do you think - what kind of quests, missions or deliveries our courier might go through at this particular site? Will he have to be particularly cautious and worry about any tools falling over from heights? Will he need some particular clothing to enter the factory? And - isn't it fun t…
- Fat[EX] Courier Simulator - Devlog #78 "Through the hoop!" - 9 July 2021
Hello Couriers! A good delivery can be as smooth as throwing a perfect 3-pointer! As we continue our work on refreshing the city and improving our courier we can't forget about... sport areas! Many cities have them - after all they strive to maintain their citizens well-being and condition! While you might be busy delivering the packages during your day perhaps you'll find a moment to rest and visit one of such areas? As you know from our previous devlogs - our courier will have uncanny ability to throw packages. While we are not saying that it's the best possible way to deliver anything (especially if it's fragile) it is still a skill that is good to have. Now, we're not saying to check whether you can throw one of your packages through one of the hoops but as we all know - curiosity is a fickle beast and if you find yourself at its mercy... Just make sure nobody is around when doing t…
- Fat[EX] Courier Simulator - Devlog #77 "Let's ride!" - 2 July 2021
Hello Couriers! We're happy to say that we are currently working on the animation and polishing all effects that you will see in the game! As we progress with our work you will definitely see more and more of a positive difference happening on the screenshots and gifs - we'll be happy to share more with you in the coming days! Right now we're dedicated to improving all parts of the game that we've created up until this moment. This process is difficult but we are more than up for the challenge as we want to make sure that the game you will receive will be great fun! Our courier is already getting ready to do his job - steadily and vigorously marching toward the truck - very similar to how we approach the development process. We are making sure that everything will work as it is supposed to work and while it might take time we know that the final product of our work will be more than wor…
- Fat[EX] Courier Simulator - Devlog #76 "It's getting warmer!" - 11 June 2021
Hello Couriers! As outside gets warmer and more inviting we thought about all of our couriers who would love to sit back in the shade of a cafe's umbrella and enjoy themselves... Don't be alarmed if you see our track when you're chilling down in the nice cold breeze after a day's work! While most often it will be you driving this particular track perhaps you will also have an opportunity to see it from the other side...? There are some renovation works on-going in the city so you might be surprised to see what's coming in the next week. While the screenshot is just a little sneakpeek of what's to come you might start preparing yourself to see a renewed, colourful and full of life city that we're currently working on. Our developers are doing their best to make sure that the city will remain visually pleasing and will give you a lot of great moments when you'll be traversing its alleys a…
- Fat[EX] Courier Simulator - Devlog #75 "What's on the courier menu...?" - 4 June 2021
Hello Couriers! Break is over - we're back with further changes for our game! This time we look at game menu! Main menu is the first thing you will look at when starting the game so it's no wonder that we're treating it with utmost respect! We want to convey several things to you by just looking at it - we want to make you feel at home and what could transmit that feeling better than the image of our beloved truck? It definitely is much homely and better looking then a simple one-coloured menu! A little nice touch, in our humble opinion, is an icon of a package serving as an on/off button. Those little features make menu navigation so much more enjoyable and even though it's a simple notion it still can create fantastic and pleasant experience. Please however do keep in mind that this particular menu is still a work-in-progress prototype. We are sure to make additions and change the men…
- Fat[EX] Courier Simulator - Devlog #74 "Now for a breather..." - 28 May 2021
Hello Couriers! With so many changes happening during last few weeks we feel that our courier deserves a little break... Have you ever wondered what is our courier doing after his shift is over? Or... whether he ever ends his shift? Perhaps he is constantly at work, always making sure that the deliveries are going smoothly and without a hitch? While we believe that he would be more than capable of doing so we still think that he needs to catch a breather from time to time. Just... destress, refuel his energy tanks and then come back at it with triple the usual power! The truck neatly parked next to the door signifies that he is finally getting his well-deserved rest. Perhaps after a short nap he will then go to the park for a short stroll or to a nearby cafe to grab himself some coffee? On his free time he is after all allowed to do anything he wants! What do you think our courier is do…

- Fat[EX] Courier Simulator - Devlog #73 "Further UI Changes!" - 21 May 2021
Hello Couriers! So many changes that we've been showcasing lately... and we're not stopping! We've taken care of our courier's image, we've provided him with a new truck and we've even been diligent enough to prepare new boxes and packages for our customers. Everything for the sake of great deliveries and doing awesome job. However - that's not enough! We strive to make even more great adjustments and improvements and this time we're thinking... about you! UI changes, afterall, are addressed to you! We want you to feel as comfortable when playing the game and enjoy the adventures of your courier to the fullest. A clean, nice looking UI is the way to go and we strongly believe that similar to package being important for the customer and truck for our driver - the new UI elements will be working in favour of your enjoyment! Minimap, speedometer and even watch - all of them will be valuabl…
- Fat[EX] Courier Simulator - Devlog #72 "New package has arrived!" - 14 May 2021
Hello Couriers! Did you know that over $150 billion is spent almost every year on producing packages around the globe? It's a beaming market and it's connected to our topic today! As you can see we have just received new packages with the logo of our company visible on it! They seem to be sturdier, better looking and posses the necessary warnings and information - it's a top notch quality! As we strive to be the best delivery company we need to make sure that even on the level of boxes and wrappings we are the best around. After all our customers will appreciate the fact that we've delivered their goodies in a well-protected environment - safe truck, steady courier hands and reliable packages. Here, take a closer look - the box is safely secured by the use of gray scotch tape, making sure that nothing will fall out from it. Additionally you can see a clear indication regarding how the p…
- Fat[EX] Courier Simulator - Devlog #71 "Look at those moves!" - 7 May 2021
Hello Couriers! As we continue on our way to make sure that the game looks good and has its own style we're also working on animating our courier! We're starting off with a simple walking animation that will be your bread and butter when playing the game. We know, we know - everyone likes to abuse the run button however sometimes it's way better to simply walk the distance instead of running it! Look at our courier and his dignified walking style. Definitely something to be admired! Running, obviously also available in game, will carry the necessary weight to it. You can almost hear the sound of our courier's boots on the ground. He is determined to run to his destination and deliver the final package of the day. He can do it - look at his gritted teeth, full of passion for his job and not at all irritated that he has to do it once again today... Think about it - how often do you jump i…
- Fat[EX] Courier Simulator - Devlog #70 "Control yourself!" - 30 April 2021
Hello Couriers! We are aware that many of you have you favorite way to play games – be it gamepad or keyboard and mouse. We believe that all of you should be free to choose your preferred way of gaming! That is why we plan for the game to be able to handle both ways of controlling your main character and his trusty truck. As you might notice there is a lot of various functions that you can use in-game meaning that a lot of buttons will have to be pressed! While there are many options and many keyboard shortcuts to facilitate the gameplay we are preparing for you, we will also make sure to not forget about the gamepad players and make sure to develop the game in a way that would allow for more than comfortable gameplay with a pad in your hands. Currently we have prepared the button scheme visible below but we might still revisit it and change the buttons depending on the internal testing…
- Fat[EX] Courier Simulator - Devlog #69 "Truck Revolution!" - 23 April 2021
Hello Couriers! Not so long ago we've had the pleasure to show you our refreshed courier... but wait, there's more! You know how it is - a knight can be skilled and dedicated to his job but it's their trusty stead that will bring them to their destination. As that is the case we know that we cannot simply improve one element of this combo without the other. A knight's armour received some polish, let's do the same for his mount! Our truck has never looked better, I'd say! Look at the mighty logo it display on its side, look at the tires and lights! The visualization of the truck you can see above and below is the greatest showcase of what we intend to do with the ride. We want it to feel safe but at the same deserving proper respect and invoking in you the feeling of riding in a classy drive. It will be safer, it will be faster and it will be more reliable than our old truck, we're comp…
- Fat[EX] Courier Simulator - Devlog #68 "That's not how you park!" - 16 April 2021
Hello Couriers! Sometimes you will be hard pressed to find a parking spot but that does not mean that you should not pay attention and break the law without a care in the world! Let's start with the easiest example - what you see on the screenshot above is absolutely unacceptable! Expect a Police to haul you car away and get a big fine if you park your truck like that. Middle of the street is not the place to park your car and that does not change even if the street is remote one or very rarely used. You need to find a proper parking spot if you want to deliver your packages to a house nearby! It is also completely unreasonable and not permissible to park on the estate of the customers - especially so if they were not contacted about it previously. You might cause damage to the property and you and your company will have to face fines that might be really high. You definitely don't want…
