Spring Fling We wanted to add a lighthearted and fun event to this season. To participate, head to Parian’s east garden and talk to the Wise Rabbit to sign up for a free no drop event basket (1 per character). This weight reducing basket holds small things (no chocolate coins or jelly beans, sorry). While the event is active you can find the usual Festive Walkers in most mainlands areas and in some TR/SOC areas. This year we added two more creatures – a Wild Helper (lvl 100) and a Golden Walker (110+). The Wild Helpers are fast and will avoid you at all costs! They will spawn while foraging or harvesting. Golden Walkers are roaming the Newtown Savannah. All three drop the event item Festive Eggs. Turn in festive eggs to the Egg Collector in the east Parian farm for various prizes and golden eggs. Tides of Fate When we started working on AE in 2018, our goal was to brush off the dust, fix a few things, and present it as is; however, once we got started doing that, we found it hard to leave it ‘as is.’ For one thing, it was a lot of fun to discover/rediscover and fix things that had been off/broken/left on the side. We also found that we wanted to make AE the best we could. In that spirit, since 2018, we have taken one section of the game at a time and improved it – making sure there is gear, checking leveling progression, fixing bugs, adding QoL features when the client allows it. We started with Mainlands, then worked on TR, SoC, and in spring of 2024 we shipped the Construction patch. ToF is the last piece of this project. And let’s not forget Steam! Construction Changes Major work was done on the construction system to make it possible to store your player home or guild hall in the event of a foreclosure with the opportunity to then replace those homes after re-subscribing, for a gold cost. Our growing player base and real estate market also necessitated the creation of a new map layer just for homes/halls. The work done allowed us an opportunity to expand our support tools to assist guilds in the event of a leader who goes missing or is deleted, and our support team can search all guild information, an option previously not available.
