- Development update on DriftKing 2D - 2021 - 18 March 2021
Development had been halted for a while. My Apologies for that! Work has resumed a little while ago, And it's starting to look promising again for a future update! I want to be clear, And fully transparent to everyone who bought DriftKing 2D: I absolutely want everyone to have a good time playing my little game. (There are plenty plans to make it fun!) This will take some time, And therefore, I really do need to ask everyone to not buy or play it right now! It's current state does not reflect what DriftKing 2D will provide. I can only ask for a little more patience. DK3D will become the primary mode, DK2D will become a Secondary mode. DK2D will be resurrected Around the Steam Summersale 2021. P.S. - A New (Experimental) 3D Mode is now live! & Steam Summersale 75% Off right now! - 25 June 2020
This new 3D mode is almost a whole new game on itself! But it's actually the same .exe! Coins you collect in DriftKing 2D Are the same in DriftKing 3D! It's the same game, Different coat, Different game modes! DK3D Also introduces 2-player local multiplayer! (Multiplayer update coming soon!) Classic split-screen fun is (will be soon) back! And as crazy as the development behind Driftking has been: Multiplayer will be added to DK2D As well! -Current version is slightly unstable! Hit "1" on your keyboard while playing in the new 3D Mode to instantly return to the 2D mode - A Patch will be rolling out this week to address the menu problems! Development will continue.

I've seen a movement to aid in the current situation which got me thinking. I as well don't directly rely on income from Driftking 2D. So there's a maximum discount of 90% in place, starting tomorrow: 20th of march 2020. Keep in mind the game is still in . I'm aware of the bugs. - DK2D Early Access Launch postponed! - 1 April 2019
My apologies for not making it in time! This is no April Fools joke unfortunately. A lot has happened for me personally in the past few weeks including a new day job. DriftKing 2D is almost ready for it's Early Access launch but it's just not quite there yet. Transparency is important so here's a quick summary of things that didn't finish in time and are currently my top priority in the coming days: Collecting new colors and vehicles. (Almost ready) The Store menu's (Almost ready) Achievements & Leaderboards (Almost Ready) Missions menu (Almost Ready) Offline savefile system + Cloud save (Broken) Additional tweaks and optimizations of the new additions. There's also a new gameplay trailer coming as soon as possible, Work on the website and presskits, Marketing and porting the game over to Google Play while waiting for the game build to go live on Steam.
