Version 9.1.7 Released! — Digital Diamond Baseball V9 Steam update #1036698

In this release a lot of work was put into improving the lineup generation and lineup substitution algorithms. This code is used whenever a game is played without using as-played lineups. For example, when replaying the 2021 season as it unfolds, playing any of the "all decade/great team" libraries, and replaying the standard season libraries with as-played lineups disabled. The lineup generation and substitution code is quite complex because it has to balance a lot of factors such as the manager profile lineup generation strategy, lineup substitution settings, player usage settings, inactive or injured players, left/right matchups, and more. With the release of v9.1.7 you should see much better lineup management when playing without as-played lineups.
