Version 1.0b16 Patch Notes: This version features a redesigned deployment interface for assigning commanders to ships. The ship list entries now show the commander assigned to the ship, and the commander can be changed by clicking the portrait in the ship entry. This should be a little clearer than in previous versions. Also, the option to select ammo has been integrated into this user-interface as well, with a separate ordnance button for each unit that has the option to load different ammo. The deployment interface also now features the ability to select a different facing for each unit as it is deployed. Hopefully these improvements make your deployment experience a happier one.
