Update 1.0.3 — Custom Deserter setting — Veterum Steam update #5699004

Greetings, warriors! We have received a lot of player feedback regarding the deserter mechanic, where units would desert the army due to low Mood. In our original design, desertion is a crucial mechanic that forces the player to genuinely care for their warriors — hiring units with the "Soul of Company" trait, avoiding interracial conflicts within the roster, visiting towns, and regularly throwing feasts... In this patch, we have added a toggle in the game options to enable or disable desertion at will. By default, this option will now be turned off. However, we highly recommend that all hardcore veterans enable it! Please check your settings menu under the Gameplay tab. Balance: • Added a correlation between Mood drop and the wildness of the current terrain. Overall, unit Mood will now deplete slower.
