Hotfix 0.8.1 - A message about save files — Dinkum Steam update #613791

Hi there. I just wanted to let you know that I am aware that some players have been having issues with saving and loading their games. Since releasing Dinkum I have paid as much care as possible to keeping player’s saves throughout the entire Early Access period. This always has been and continues to be very important to me. For the Summer Sun Update we made a lot of changes to the internal of Dinkum, including writing a new save system. The old system was very bloated - it had far too many separate files and often caused problems with Steam Cloud syncs. The new system is much smaller, taking the file amount down from around 60 files to just 3. The Summer Sun update was tested publicly for over three weeks, this was in part due to my concerns with the new save system. Over those 3 weeks, a lot of bugs were reported, but no issues were found relating to players using the new save system. ...
