After years of fighting to keep GoreBox multiplayer safe, we have officially made the decision to remove it entirely. We spent a long time battling exploiters, patching vulnerabilities, rebuilding systems, and doing everything in our power to protect the experience for legitimate players. Every time we closed one door, another was kicked open. We delayed this decision for as long as we possibly could, but eventually we reached a point where there was simply nothing left to do. The vulnerabilities uncovered and exploited over the course of these attacks ran too deep to fix without switching to an entirely different networking model, and even if the attacks were to stop, it would only be a matter of time before someone else picked up where they left off.
