First off is battle using weapons. Use the A nd D keys to move left and right, and head toward a fiend to attack with a weapon. Use the Space key to jump. It comes in useful when hitting an airborne fiend and for evading attacks. I'll let you in on one more fighting technique. You need to face toward an enemy to attack them, but by standing still and letting your weapon do the talking, you can "parry" a fiend's attack. However parrying is pretty much useless against powerful or quick attacks. It's tricky to get the hang of it, but if you can become able to pull off a parry during a heated battle, you can come out on top and avoid needless injuries.
