It can be a real pain having to rely on loot-crates for a water source. Especially if you're trying to support plant beds and animal housings, as well as your nutritional needs. Today's update includes the Wellhead; a new craftable item that aims to provide a renewable water-source for players at their base. The Wellhead is a powered item that can be crafted at the BCU. Once placed in the perimeter of a base, players must first drill down into the ground until a natural spring is exposed to extract water from. Additional power is required to extract the water. Power efficiency and extraction speed can both be upgraded. I plan to add additional upgrades to tap into extra resources underground (such as oil).
