• Nour 1.2.1! Spawn cap changes 🔥 - 31 August 2024

  Since Nour is out on Nintendo Switch we're bringing in some optimizations to the game experience! Meta Spawn Cap: The spawn cap for physics objects is now shared across all items and scales based on platform tier. A slider option has been added for PC players to adjust the spawn cap. General Fixes Addressed various issues, including tool movement bugs in the burger scene, fixed noodle creation in the meat grinder, and corrected audio instance limits. Popcorn level Fixes Resolved issues with de-spawned food not replenishing and frozen kernels not responding to inputs. Jellyfish no longer collide with problematic stage objects in the Popcorn level. Level Unlocks Fixed an issue where levels were not unlocking correctly after progression.   We don't like bugs in our food so we squished some of them.   - Updated food palette binding to Shift + Spacebar. Spacebar acts as the food palette spawn button while the menu isn't open. We know how inconvenient the previous binding was, it was annoying for us too. Sorry! • Nour is Out + A Launch Day Hotfix! 🔥 - 12 September 2023

  We're finally there. Nour is live on Steam! 🎉 After a small hiccup where an old build was set live, (Apologies about that! Please update your game if you downloaded it the morning of launch and give it another try, this time with better keyboard + mouse support. Version 1.06 is the proper launch build), our wild food art game is out into the world. Thank you all so much for sticking around this long. It's been a long and difficult, but very rewarding journey. And it's not over yet! We have the OST dropping piece by piece. This project has impacted me in ways I never could've guessed. A huge thanks goes out to Panic as well, for really helping us get past that final hurdle to release. Everyone really came together to help me launch this project. • I'm really looking forward to tucking into Nour: Play With Your Food later this year - 21 June 2023

  "Olivia, get the bowls and chopsticks ready to eat dinner," my mum asks 10 year old me. I do as I'm told, taking them to the dinner table. In childish, whimsical fashion as a childish, whimsical child, I grab my pair of chopsticks and start hitting them together as if I'm a drummer. "Olivia, don't do that," my mum scolds me. "Your grandma always used to tell me off when I did that as a child." Sullenly, I put the chopsticks back down on the table. Well, 10 year old me, you're in for a treat. If you wait a couple of decades, you'll learn of Nour: Play With Your Food , a game which allows you to bang together chopsticks. The game wants you to. Nour is a physics simulation of a variety of foods, where you can choose the ingredients for the dish and add various "effects" of a non-culinary nature. Read more

  Hiya food folks! Let’s get the big news outta the way… Yes, a demo for Nour is out now! It is real! You can play it! 😲 If you’ve followed our game here for a while, you know it has been a long and twisty road. Turns out there is no exact recipe for making a video game, especially not one about wildly interactive food. With our demo out now into the world, I wanted to let you know that we'll have more news soon about when the game will be coming out! This game required a lot of help in the kitchen to make sure it was done just right, so much so that we even got the fine folks at Serenity Forge to help out with development this past year. They made sure our Game Stew was seasoned just right. For now I’ll let you dive into the demo, which highlights the first few levels of the final game, and we will be back once we have our final release date.
