- More than just a Gas Station - 4 October 2026
Hey Gas Jockeys! When we first created Gas Station Simulator, the idea was pretty simple: take an ordinary roadside business, give the player control over it, and see what happens when things inevitably get a little out of hand. But as the world of GSS grew, so did the possibilities. We started wondering what else could exist around the same world. What would happen if we took that same idea and put it somewhere different? That's where Roadhouse Simulator came in. A different place, a different kind of business, but still that same feeling of taking something ordinary and turning it into your own. And now we're doing it again with Road Diner. This time, we're taking a closer look at another part of roadside life the people who stop for a meal and the kitchen behind the scenes. The games may look different, but there's a common thread running through all of them: start with a familiar pl…
- Not everything needs to be bigger - 27 September 2026
Hey Gas Jockeys! When we were working on Roadhouse Simulator, one of the interesting differences from Gas Station Simulator was the scale of the space we were building. GSS gives you a larger station with plenty of room to move around, expand the business and add new services. There is a lot happening across the property, and the size of the station is an important part of how the game feels. The Roadhouse works differently. The space is more concentrated, with the bar, tables, customers, staff and all the problems that come with running the place much closer together. That changes the way you play. A customer causing trouble at one end of the bar isn't something happening somewhere far away you can usually see it, hear it and deal with it almost immediately. Serving drinks, cleaning up, keeping an eye on customers and dealing with unexpected situations all happen within the same relati…
- The things we put on the shelves - 26 September 2026
Hey Gas Jockeys! When you're running a business, it's easy to think of the products on your shelves as just another part of the gameplay. But when we were working on Gas Station Simulator and Roadhouse Simulator, we also had to think about what actually made sense for each place. A gas station needs things that travellers might want on the road like something to drink, something to eat, something they forgot to pack, or perhaps something they didn't even know they needed until they saw it on the shelf. A Roadhouse works a little differently. People aren't just stopping to grab something and leave. They're there to stay for a while, so the things you offer become part of the experience: different drinks at the bar, small snacks to grab on the go and everything needed to keep the place running. That's why we didn't want the two games to simply share the same shops with different textures.…
- The details make the place - 25 September 2026
Hey Gas Jockeys! A big part of running a roadside business is making it feel like your place. That's where decorations come in. In Gas Station Simulator, you can fill the station with everything from old barrels, signs and posters to lamps, trophies, plants and various pieces of roadside memorabilia. As you add more to the station, it slowly becomes something that feels less like an abandoned stop in the desert and more like a business that has its own personality. For Roadhouse Simulator, we wanted the decorations to reflect a very different kind of place. That's why you'll find neon beer and diner signs, guitars, dartboards, old clocks, paintings, flags, deer heads, Route 66 signs and plenty of wall art. Some decorations help set the mood, some make the Roadhouse feel more authentic, and some are simply there because a roadside bar without a few strange things on the walls wouldn't qu…
- One universe, two stories - 24 September 2026
Hey Gas Jockeys! When we started working on Roadhouse Simulator, we knew we didn't want it to feel completely separate from Gas Station Simulator. After all, Roadhouse is a prequel. It takes place earlier in Uncle's life and gives us a chance to see characters, places and ideas that eventually lead into the world we already know from GSS. But we also didn't want to simply recreate the same game in a different setting. Roadhouse has its own characters, its own problems and its own kind of chaos. At the same time, there are little connections everywhere, some obvious, like Uncle, and some you might only notice if you've played both games. That's something we really enjoyed while developing it. We could take things players already knew from Gas Station Simulator and ask ourselves: “What was happening before this?” Sometimes the answer became part of Roadhouse. Sometimes it was just a small…
- The same Uncle, different man - 23 September 2026
Hey Gas Jockeys! We've seen some of you say that you really don't like Uncle and honestly, we can't blame you. After everything he's put you through in Gas Station Simulator, we understand why some of you weren't exactly excited to see him again in Roadhouse Simulator. But we never wanted to make a completely different character. We wanted to show you the Uncle you didn't know yet. The Uncle in Roadhouse Simulator is younger and much less experienced. He's only just starting to find his way in the world, looking for opportunities and trying to figure out how to build something of his own. He hasn't become the businessman you know from Gas Station Simulator yet. He hasn't had years to develop that particular talent for making questionable deals and getting other people to do the hard work for him. And that's what made him interesting for us to write. Roadhouse isn't here to convince you…
- The Aliens were here first 👽🛸 - 22 September 2026
Hey Gas Jockeys! If you've played Gas Station Simulator, you might already know that we're not exactly alone on Route 66. At the gas station, the aliens are responsible for some rather unusual situations. Press the UFO button and suddenly cars and customers disappear and every now and then, their Party Bus arrives with a whole group of aliens ready to party and spend a surprising amount of money at the gas station. But in Roadhouse Simulator, we get to see a little more of their story. Long before Uncle runs the gas station, he already crosses paths with our visitors from above. This time, they need our help. Throughout the game, we collect items left behind by the gangs, put them together and smuggle them to the aliens to create the fuel they need to leave Earth. So when that Party Bus eventually shows up at the gas station, maybe their relationship with Uncle isn't quite as random as…

- Free DLC is coming🏍️ - Something Loud Is Pulling Into the Station - 18 September 2026
The middle of nowhere is about to get a lot noisier. A free biker themed DLC is rumbling toward Gas Station Simulator. We're keeping the details under the hood for now, but it's free, it's coming, and it's got two wheels and an attitude. It's inspired by our new game Roadhouse Simulator, which rolls onto Steam this Monday, September 21. Grab that, keep an eye on this page, and we'll have more to share next week. Since the bikers are coming from Roadhouse, you can join the live chat on Monday if you have any questions. Engines on. See you at the station. Want more capybaras? - Why we went back in time? - 11 September 2026
Hey Gas Jockeys! As you probably know from our devlog “How Shady Deals Became Roadhouse Simulator”, when we started working on Shady Deals, we intended it to be another major DLC for Gas Station Simulator. The pub was meant to be another part of the petrol station, with Uncle introducing the player to the more dubious side of the business. Once we decided to make it a full-fledged game, another question arose: when should this story take place? We already knew where Uncle would eventually end up, but not how he got there. Since Road House as a business was going to be his story, why not go back in time and see him before all that? And that’s how the idea of making it a prequel to Gas Station Simulator was born. We moved the story to an earlier stage in Uncle’s life, to a different part of Route 66, and turned the roadside inn next to the petrol station into the game’s main setting. Some…
- Same Route 66. Different Problems. - 4 September 2026
Hey Gas Jockeys! When we were working on Gas Station Simulator, we spent a lot of time thinking about Route 66. Not just what it should look like, but what it should feel like. We wanted that feeling of being somewhere in the middle of nowhere, where the road seems endless and the next car could bring absolutely anyone to your doorstep. That's part of what made the gas station so much fun to build. It's a small place, but the world keeps coming to it. Travelers stop for fuel, grab something to eat, look around the store, and then disappear back onto the road. After spending so much time with that idea, we started wondering about the other places along Route 66. What happens behind the next door? Who stops there? And what kind of problems do they bring with them? A roadhouse turned out to be a pretty good answer. At first glance, there's not much that connects a gas station and a roadhou…
- Some friendships just make sense 💚🤎 - 28 August 2026
Hey Gas Jockeys! What do a crocodile and a capybara have in common? Apparently, more than you'd think. In the wild, capybaras and crocodilians can often be found sharing the same environment without constantly turning it into a fight. They simply coexist sometimes getting surprisingly close to one another. You've already met the crocodile Gustave in Gas Station Simulator. And now, at Caldora Airport, there's another animal making itself at home... the capybara. Maybe the crocodile doesn't see the capybara as a snack. Maybe the capybara knows it can trust the crocodile. Or maybe they've simply decided that airports and gas stations are much more fun when you have a friend waiting for you. We don't know how their friendship started. But we know one thing: these two aren't enemies. From the gas station to the airport, the DRAGO animal friendship continues. Some friendships just make sense.…
- From the Airstrip to Contraband - 21 August 2026
Hey Gas Jockeys! If you enjoyed keeping the Airstrip running in Gas Station Simulator, it's time to take your aviation career one step further. At the Airstrip, you helped pilots land safely, managed aviation fuel and plane parts, and kept the runway running smoothly. Now, in Airport Contraband, you're on the other side of the airport operation. Instead of guiding planes onto the runway, you'll be checking the people and luggage coming through the terminal. Inspect passengers, scan their bags, uncover suspicious items, and make the call on who gets through security. You already know that airports can be unpredictable. But this time, what's hiding inside the luggage is your problem to solve. Think you've got what it takes to spot the contraband? Give Airport Contraband a try and put your inspection skills to the test! ----------------------------------------------------------------------…
- How Shady Deals became Roadhouse Simulator - 13 August 2026
Hey Gas Jockeys! we cancelled the Shady Deals DLC and built Roadhouse Simulator instead. The long version is below, and the Demo is out today. We killed it after a milestone review In September 2024 we released the Car Junkyard DLC for Gas Station Simulator. It went well, and it also set a new quality bar for us that nobody had planned to set. Around that date we sat down with what was left of the Shady Deals milestones and had the kind of review where you stop talking about the schedule and start talking about the thing itself. The conclusion took a while for anyone to say out loud, because nobody wants to be the person who says it. Shady Deals was not going to be as good as the DLC we had just released. We hired an outside company to help us deliver the biggest and best DLC for Gas Station Simulator, and we realised that goal was no longer reachable. What Shady Deals was For anyone wh…

- Gas Jockey's Guide - 24 July 2026
Hey Gas Jockeys! Think you already know everything about Gas Station Simulator? Here are a few tips that can make your daily routine a lot more efficient: ⛽ Fuel first during rush hours.Cars waiting at the pumps can quickly pile up into traffic jams, and that stops new customers from even entering your station. 📦 Don't overstock everything. Focus on your best-selling products instead of filling every shelf equally. A well-managed inventory means fewer emergency deliveries and more profit. 🧹 A clean station is a busy station. Pick up trash regularly and keep things tidy to hold onto your popularity and pull in more customers. 🚗 Use your employees wisely. Assign them to repetitive tasks like fueling, cashier duties, or cleaning while you focus on restocking, upgrades, and handling the unexpected. 💰 Reinvest your earnings. Expanding the station and unlocking new services usually pays o…

- Gas Station Simulator & No Multiplayer - 3 July 2026
Hey Gas Jockeys! We recently received some questions regarding multiplayer for Gas Station Simulator and the topic also pops up regularly in Steam discussions. Every now and then there is always that one rumor floating around, so we would like to take a moment and make it official: we are NOT working on multiplayer for Gas Station Simulator. Adding multiplayer to Gas Station Simulator with all its DLCs at this point would be a close to insane undertaking and make no mistake, adding a multiplayer retroactively to a game that was never designed with multiplayer in mind more often than not ends with a subpar experience anyway. There is however some news when it comes to multiplayer: Road Diner will be our first game that is designed with a multiplayer experience in mind. We actually just published an announcement regarding this very topic if you are interested: see Devlog Road Diner Simula…
