• Hero Equipment - 17 April 2021

  Saving the world is tough work, and having the right tools is critical. Enter hero equipment! Introducing 48 pieces of weaponry and armor to aid your heroes in battle. In the past, heroes would gain +1 Hp between battles. Armors replace that feature, by giving the hero certain stats at the beginning of the battle. The choice is now in your hands! Rather than having a single weapon through the course of an adventure, you can gain ones that are more suited to your party's strategy. • The Graveyard - 26 March 2020

  As our heroes venture beyond the forest, they stumble upon a field of the buried. One step onto the sacred ground and it rumbles awake. Zombies crawl up from beneath the ground, and stray bones join together as walking skeletons. Our heroes are in grave peril. The Graveyard is the newest stage in Tales of the Deck. Undead enemies are around every corner, each with new strategies to confound your heroes. This introduces 15 new enemies, and several new enemy mechanics known as triggers. Take the Skeleton for instance. When it dies, it turns into a Pile of Bones. That pile will turn back into a Skeleton in two turns. The Werewolf presents an interesting challenge. At the end of the turn, it will turn into a Person who helps you. However, that Person will soon change back into the Werewolf. The Graveyard brings a new excitement to Tales of the Deck. • Enter the Objects! - 18 February 2020

  Objects are a new type of enemy that can disrupt how you approach a battle. They have actions just like bosses and minions. What makes them different? They do not have to be destroyed to end the battle. You have to make a difficult choice. You can try to end the battle quickly, before the object has a lasting impact. However, that gives the enemies time to set up for stronger turns. Fortunately, not all objects work against you. Take the Campfire for instance. Though you were ambushed while sleeping, its warmth will keep you alive. Just don't accidentally destroy it. If you're lucky though you might have some spare Firewood. Objects introduces difficult choices in how you approach your next battle. Challenges await, so plan wisely.

• Tooltips, Achievements, and Saving - 14 February 2020

  The game has been updated to v.0.2.3, and with that comes some new features. Before we dive into that though, we have something special for you. Tomorrow, Feb 15, We'll be doing a Twitch stream, and introducing a brand new mechanic to the game. We'll be encountering a brand new type of enemy that will change the you play and strategize. • Greasy, fast speed! - 10 February 2020

  One of the biggest requests we've seen since launch has been to speed up the game. We hear you loud and clear. Animations have been sped up a fair bit, and drawing and discarding has also gotten a healthy dose of quick. This update also sets the stage for some other new stuff coming out later this week. • Client v0.2.1 - Squashing Bugs - 3 February 2020

  The game client just got a small tune-up ahead of the Feb.6th release date. Nothing fancy to see here, but there are a few minor improvements. - Hit box for bosses are now sized appropriately. - Battle animations appear above a character, but below their weapon/action pane. It looks very pretty. - Fixed a bug where the deck editor would appear when the "?" menu was open and closed during the loading scene.

• Boss Bumps - 1 February 2020

  We just released a small content update for the game. The main goal here was to increase the difficulty of most battles by a little, and greatly increase the difficulty of final battles. - Final bosses have been redesigned to be a more interesting as well as difficult. - Boss Hp has been increased across the board. A few minions got a bump as well. - Spiders no longer target by low mp. - Strategize no longer has swift.

• Music, Tutorials and Deck Editors! Oh, My! - 31 January 2020

  With the early access release right around the corner (Feb.6th... tell your friends), it's time to update the game client with some important quality of life improvements. If you encounter any issues, please let us know. We hope to iron out any bugs before the 6th. Thanks everyone! Updated to Game Client v0.2.0 - Music now brings new life to the game. The retro style of TotD now lives in the sound. - A brand new tutorial to introduce first time players to the very basics of the game. - The deck editor has been slimmed down. You can now share deck codes, as opposed to sharing decks through a user account. - Choose your deck and adventure on a new screen. This prepares for new stages in the future.
