- Update v 1.0.22 — make your own mods with ChatGPT and Claude - 8 October 2026
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1201700/Warnament/ Hi, Rulers! Since the last updates, I've been looking at the mods you're making for Warnament. There are already mods for the Middle Ages, the modern day, and alternate histories after the First and Second World Wars. Some of you change the map colours, some redo the balance because you don't like mine, and some add new buildings. There are even trains now. I can't pick a favourite: they're all good in their own way, and I enjoy seeing how each of you changes the game to suit yourselves. I love mods myself. If, back when I was playing Minecraft or Mount & Blade, I could have simply explained what I wanted and got my own mod, I would have spent a lot of time doing that. Usually it's harder: lots of people use mods, but far fewer make them, because you need to understand files, formats, and how the game works. I wanted to make that a l…
- Update v 1.0.21 – Maps, Scenarios and Packs in Steam Workshop - 25 September 2026
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1201700/Warnament/ Hello Rulers! The main change in this update: Steam Workshop is no longer just for mods. You can now publish maps and scenarios there too, and even bundle them into packs. How it used to work Until now, sharing a map was a small quest. You made it in Warnament Map Editor, a separate app that comes with the game and sits right next to the game files. Then you posted the file on Discord or somewhere else. Anyone who wanted to play it had to find it, download it and drop it into a special folder on their device. Now you publish your map to the Workshop, and other players just press Subscribe. The map loads into their game automatically. Packs A pack is a set of mods, maps and scenarios that downloads together as one Workshop item. Say you're a Napoleon fan. You make a Napoleonic Wars mod and an 1804 scenario, put them into a pack and pu…

Just look at what our in-game screens look like now. By the way We’ve updated the DLC artwork too — check out how beautiful it looks now: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4529310/Warnament_Alternative_History_Pack/ https://store.steampowered.com/app/3856440/Warnament_Art_Pack/ https://store.steampowered.com/app/3856430/Warnament_Sou…

Rising temperatures devastate provinces and population, forcing you to migrate north in search of survivable land. - Update you asked for! - v.1.0.2 - Army Movement and UI Overhaul - 20 August 2025
What’s a good update without listening to the community? We’re back with another round of improvements based on your feedback! Interface Improvements The top bar (income, science, prestige, resources) has been redesigned to take up less space. Resources are now displayed in the same row, without a dropdown menu. Army Movement & Pathfinding Army movement is now more intuitive! The path is dynamically built and shown on the map, not only when holding the right mouse button, but also when hovering after selecting "Move" in the control menu. If you can’t cross a river or sea due to a missing port, an icon and explanation will appear in the province, letting you know why the path is unavailable. This info also appears if your route is longer than expected because you need to go around—so you’ll know where building a port would speed things up. - Update v1.0.1 - User Interface, Tutorial and Quality of Life - 8 August 2025
Hello! We’re extremely grateful to everyone who sends us feedback about the game—please keep it coming. We read every review and turn them into tasks in our tracker. Top Priority – Clarity Our current top priority is to make the game’s interfaces as clear and user-friendly as possible. After three years of closed beta, we (the developers and veteran players) have grown accustomed to some of the old solutions, which aren’t always obvious to newcomers. That’s definitely on us, so even now, at 2 AM, we’re working on fixes and will keep at it! Also, starting today, our experienced designer Ivan has joined the team. Early this morning we compiled a list of over 30 tasks—and the first ones are already done. Here’s the new update! What’s New in This Update? Tutorial hints added: the text now contains hyperlinks that, when clicked, instantly show the relevant city or country on the game map. Ho…

- Warnament Is On! - v1.0 Is Available On Steam - 7 August 2025
This day is finally here! Warnament v1.0 is available on Steam in its full glory - with achievements, cloud saves, soundtrack, art pack, cosmetic items, and other grown-up stuff! It's time for you to get this game from your wishlist to your library: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1201700/Warnament As for us, we'll take a minute to get nostalgic. Developing Warnament was quite a story! Warnament began with Denis Makhortov, a college student who got desperate, waiting for the sequel to his favorite game to come out. So, he started making a game of his own, and he took the fanbase of his high school game, Cold Path, along with him. At Luden.io, we never questioned Denis's vision: our role was to provide help with non-technical things, like art & marketing. So at its core, Warnament is still a one-man game. (One man - and his community of over 13000 players, one might add) After 3+ year…
