- Managing the Steam page, auth merging, and future plans - 27 June 2026
Following up on our previous announcement, we’re relieved to say the transfer of the Steam page has successfully gone through. We’re setting up an organization to manage the Steam page, meaning all of the essential SS14 services have now been handed over. We’re still in the process of bringing servers back up, so stick with us as we work to get them running. As always, we’ll let you know when we’ve got updates on when they’re ready to join.Your accounts are not lost!Auth databases should now be merged, and you should be free to log into the launcher. Approximately 800 accounts could not be merged as the email or username was already taken on the new system. Windows: Downgraded a native library to fix crashes with compatibility mode. Linux: Disabled GLFW Wayland as it's broken. macOS: Fix support for older macOS versions. Updated the localization files.
- Launcher update - Apple Silicon Support - 26 September 2025
This concerns the game launcher used to connect to game servers. Updates for game content happens separately. The game now supports Apple Silicon for a performance boost. Fix idle CPU usage. Round times on the server list now work properly when exceeding 24 hours. Added Romanian translation. Linux and macOS now get MIDI support out of the box. Updated native dependencies. Should fix some weird platform-specific bugs. Launcher logging is now enabled by default. The launcher now refuses to show negative player counts reported by servers. Fix out-of-the-box graphics on Snapdragon X devices by forcing compatibility mode. Launcher now warns on first startup if you have a 13th or 14th Intel CPU, as these may be vulnerable to a degradation hardware defect. Updated the localization files.
- Update Vlog 109 - (Crawling, Smart Fridge, Wizard's Den) - 6 August 2025
This is normally more elaborate, but I'm tired. You put healy stuff in fridge, fridge dispenses stuff, life good. Wizard den is real; a wizard lives there and teleports out. Advanced reagents work slower, reagents in smoke and foam react differently. You can crawl now, or slip into a crawl. Crawling has combat benefits in compact situations, but can make you an easier target. Crawling also allows you to pick up stuff while worming around.

When downloading server content, the launcher will now persist downloaded files even if the process is interrupted. This also means downloads can be properly resumed, and should be a great improvement for people with shoddy internet connections. Added Hungarian and Esperanto translation. Updated the localization files.
- Update Vlog 108 - (Harmpack, Jump Boots, Artifact Glue) - 25 July 2025
Two new science technologies can be researched on the station, the first of which are jump boots. These allow the user to traverse potentially lethal surfaces with ease, no power required. The second is the harmpack; this backpack allows the users to enjoy two extra functional arms, for whatever purposes you may have! Artifact glue can allow for endless riches or destruction to whatever artifact the glue is applied to. The spray painter now allows for tile perfect decals, alongside other various options. As well as various other content pieces, sprite works, and awesome bug fixes in this patch cycle.
- Update Vlog 107 - (Scurrets, Stamina Damage Resistance, Salvage Tweaks) - 10 July 2025
Scurrets make their first appearance on the station. They are a ghost role that is purchasable for 25k spesos. Currently they are only for emotional support. A new Atmos device was added that allows technicians even greater control over the pressure in their networks. Most syndicate hardsuits now feature some level of stamina resistance, giving them greater power over stun weaponry. There have been sweeping tweaks across salvage, generally nerfing all of their weaponry while simultaneously debuffing their foes.
- Update Vlog 106 - (Exo Station, Estoc DMR, Barotrauma Damage Buff) - 23 June 2025
A new station joins the game; it is named Exo. This station features alien architecture, different department layouts, and other stylized choices. A new syndicate weapon named the Estoc is a longer-range option, with not quite as much stopping power as the C20 or Bulldog. Thieving gloves were removed, meaning now only the thief antag can steal from people quickly and stealthily. Scrap armor allows for tiders to make discount blood-reds, and now mad scientists can turn you into a smart corgi!
- Update Vlog 105 - (Pipe Stacking, Text Highlighting, Sentry Turret Controls) - 14 June 2025
Atmos techs can now layer multiple pipes on the same tile and even combine them into one singular output. This offers the previous complex systems of pipe stacking while still looking great. You can now highlight any words you want, from your name to your current job. This will allow you to stay more focused on things pertaining to you, especially helpful in busy radio situations. Sentry turrets, like the ones found in AI cores, will now have consoles to configure their settings further. Diona can now "root" into the ground, allowing them to walk over slippery surfaces while absorbing whatever reagents lie below. There are other great QoL features, from evac emergency lockers to improved atmos devices.

Server search now doesn't update on every character entered to avoid lag. Added Italian and Norwegian Bokmål translation. Updated the localization files.

Add fallback auth/hub service integration to work around Russia blocking western infra providers. Improved error messages for connection errors and similar. Fix filters menu not updating text when switching launcher language. ⌘-Q now quits the launcher properly on macOS. Round time and lobby status of server is now displayed in server list. Properly line out column headers in server list. Updated the localization files.
- Update Vlog 95 - (Plasma Station, Elkridge Station, QoL Improvements) - 21 January 2025
Two new maps were added to the game. Plasma, a medium population station, is a unique map that features plasma pools, a lot of asteroid rocks, and unusual hallway designs not found in other stations. In theme with the map, the TEG is the primary power method of the station. The second map is known as Elkridge. This is a low population map with a cozy design and a few unique takes on areas like the bridge. There were also a bunch of nice QoL and minor additions added, from being able to print out bedsheets to ordering large instruments. Radiator pipes can now be crafted in a bent variety, and air sensor settings can now be copied with just a click of a button.
