• Beatitas to be free to download soon! - 8 June 2022

  Hello everyone, This is a note for anyone who may have this game wishlisted or may be looking to buy it, but are not looking to spend the money to have a game sit in their library that this game will be free soon! For anyone who may be sneaking their way in to try to get their refund since the move to .99 USD, I can see how many purchases there are... don't even try... However, this is a notification for anyone who may be thinking about buying it but it doesn't become free in time to wait for a little bit so that you can get it for free. Hopefully anyone who was looking to play this game but never wanted to buy it will give it a chance and enjoy the experience. • Beatitas version 1.3 available and minor Dev Diary (very minor spoilers) - 22 June 2020

  Hello, and welcome to a combined mini announcement for Beatitas! There have been a few additional changes made to the game, but overall, I think this may be the last update to fix any bugs or game play unless something truly game breaking comes up. It feels like it's in a good state (Although may still have some typos hiding around somewhere) and I'm pretty happy with the final result. Below are the final changes that were made. 1.) The Fortress Escape During the escape sequence, if the fourth green switch was pressed, it caused all sorts of problems if the sequence was restarted. This is been resolved. The initial timer has been increased from 15 minutes to 20 minutes to make it much more likely to complete the run on the first attempt. The third directional clue is a little more on the cryptic side, but with the extra time as well as the pretty easy ability to just brute force it, it…

• Beatitas 1.2 Update is here! - 6 June 2020

  With this update comes some quality of life changes, bug fixes, and some minor grammar fixes. Below is the full list of notes. Overall The mouse in battle was more of a hindrance to game play than it was anything else. You can still use the mouse to make selections, however the mouse cursor hovering over a certain enemy will no longer cause the game to permanently select that enemy. The 'All Allies' and 'All Enemies' selection has been removed since its only purpose was to be used for mouse controls. Now the only way to select all enemies or allies is to press the respective direction on the pad The optimize feature has been dramatically improved to be focused on each characters primary attributes. Previously the optimize feature leaned towards whatever gear had a significant amount of HP or MP and disregarded attack based stats. Now all characters are properly adjusted so that they wil…

• Upcoming Changes - 6 June 2020

  After some community feedback, it is very clear that enemies just have too much hp. All enemies will be tweaked as the purpose of HP should not be meant to draw out a battle that is known how to win, but should instead be a means of learning how enemies work. Once the mechanics are learned, HP is really just a time waster, which is not the experience I want to deliver. In addition to all HP values being adjusted, the below will be managed... 1.) A checkpoint system with the final boss where the battle can be lost and will send you back to the save point instead of starting over from the beginning. The phases themselves are long, but there should be a reward for getting through each one, and that reward should be not having to fight it again. 2.) The Fortress world is, in short, very confusing. • Beatitas 1.1 released! - 29 May 2020

  Based on community feedback, a couple of items have been modified and introduced for quality of life and fluidity of the gameplay. 1.) It was very difficult to determine what row enemies, and sometimes even allies, were in especially when they were alone. Each row now has an indicator where a buff/debuff would be displayed to always keep track of what row a certain unit is in. https://i.imgur.com/zoJJFTC.png 2.) The grab mechanics for certain puzzles were... clunky and funky at best... These have been completely reworked to feel more smooth and make more sense as far as the puzzles are concerned. There has been some considerable feedback regarding enemy units having too much HP. This will continue to be monitored, but will be kept as it is for now.
