- Small Patch - VTube Studio 1.35.10 - 8 July 2026
This is just a small patch that addresses two bugs/issues:When using “Inverted Masks” in your Live2D models while having “Mask Smoothing” active in VTube Studio, this would sometimes lead to random black lines appearing on your models due to an issue in the rendering system. This is now fixed.VTube Studio was still using old (beta) Twitch event topics for the events sent when Twitch "Power-Ups" are redeemed. This led to longer Twitch login times. This is now fixed. This small patch fixes an issue with the new screenshot system where certain visual effects (like the outline and backlight VFX) would be incorrectly scaled and positioned when using custom screenshot resolutions. The patch also improves how the bloom effect looks when using very high screenshot resolutions. Finally, the patch adds a screenshot button in the Expression Editor. This makes it easier to manually pose your model from there and then take screenshots. If you have any questions, please join our Discord!! Join Discord

- Regarding recent crashes - 31 August 2025
Have you been getting crashes after the last update? It's most likely because you don't have the most recent "Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable" installed. From now on, VTube Studio will automatically install it when updating. But if you are getting crashes right now, please install it manually for now:https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170 Make sure you get the X64 version from this page. Here is a direct link to the currently most recent version: https://download.visualstudio.microsoft.com/download/pr/7ebf5fdb-36dc-4145-b0a0-90d3d5990a61/CC0FF0EB1DC3F5188AE6300FAEF32BF5BEEBA4BDD6E8E445A9184072096B713B/VC_redist.x64.exe After downloading and installing, VTube Studio should work again. Sorry for the inconvenience!! If you still have any crashes after this, please report them on Discord: Join VTS Discord
- VTube Studio 1.32.27 - 29 August 2025
This patch addresses a crash experienced by some users when opening the app, starting the webcam trackers or when opening the webcam selection list. The crash was caused by multiple faulty virtual webcams added by the "Meta Quest Link" app. VTube Studio now ignores those virtual webcams to prevent the crash. Since this update modifies the webcam trackers, you may have to re-add firewall exceptions for VTube Studio again manually after updating. If you still experience any crashes after this, please reach out immediately in the VTube Studio Discord.
- VTube Studio 1.32.3 - 10 June 2025
This small patch (1.32.3) fixes some bugs introduced by the previous update, adds one new asset and slightly re-adjusts the watermark coverage.Fixed a bug where items loaded from item scenes during collabs would mistakenly get attached to your collab guests if their models contained the same ArtMesh IDs as your own model.Fixed a bug where locked and pinned items would very slowly move upwards.Adjusted watermark coverage from ~70% to exactly 50% to precisely match the updated Live2D SDK free version license requirements. The initial increase was meant to comply with Live2D's recently updated licensing policy, which now requires at least 50% horizontal coverage (and at least 20% vertical coverage). We overshot a bit to be safe, but based on feedback, we’ve fine-tuned it to match the required amount more closely. Finally, one more split Live2D model asset by @7MC_Official was added: a cute…
- VTube Studio 1.32.0 - 4 June 2025
This update adds a lot of changes for Live2D items and the VNet collab feature. The first big new feature is Split Live2D items!! You can have split Live2D items now with a front and back part, so they're wrapping around the main model and make it look like you're really wearing the item.Internally this works by splitting the Live2D item at a certain layer into a front/back part and then setting orders within the main model for those parts separately.VTube Studio comes with a few items that already have this set up so you can play around with them. But, you can also easily set this up for your own Live2D items.More info: https://github.com/DenchiSoft/VTubeStudio/wiki/Between-Layer-Item-PinningIsn't that cool!?Next, you can now pin stuff to other people during collabs or take their items now. This also works with the split Live2D items. Not much else to explain here. People requested this…

Since the updated NVIDIA tracker caused serious issues for some users, the old version is now being added back as a permanent option. It won't be compatible with RTX 50-Series or newer. You can select it like this: The updated tracker will be considered "beta" for the time being, until all issues are worked out. If you use the NVIDIA tracker, make sure the DLC is marked as "installed" in Steam. The tracker files are quite large, around 3.2 GB. Sorry again for the messy release. This update adds Between-Layer Item Pinning. This new feature lets you pin any VTube Studio item between the layers of your model. Using this, you could add glasses or cat ears that are partially under your hair and much more!! This feature is currently still considered beta and may not work perfectly (for example, syncing via VNet is not yet supported). It will be improved with the full release early next year. You can open the menu to set this up by long-clicking on any item (click and hold). For more info: https://github.com/DenchiSoft/VTubeStudio/wiki/Between-Layer-Item-Pinning Also, a bug was fixed that caused VTube Studio to freeze on some devices when plugins like VBridger tried to inject tracking date. - VTube Studio 1.29.0 - 16 July 2024
This update adds Web-Items to VTube Studio. A Web-Item is essentially a full web browser, available as an item in VTube Studio. They can be moved, rotated and pinned like normal items but display a website that you can interact with. Web Items are basically like "OBS Browser Sources", just directly in VTube Studio. You can use them to display and pin pretty much anything you want directly in VTube Studio... donation goal trackers, chat boxes, videos, any other fancy stream widgets... the possibilities are endless!! For more info, check out this page: https://github.com/DenchiSoft/VTubeStudio/wiki/Web-Items The following features, bugfixes and improvements were also implemented: Support for the Live2D Cubism Editor API. This allows VTube Studio to directly send tracking data into the Live2D Cubism Editor. This makes it much easier for model riggers to test physics setups without repeated…
