- Back to School Update - 11 September 2021
Introducing the "Back to School" pack! With 80 new questions about academia, the formal and informal teachers in our lives, and what it means to learn and grow - you'll quickly get a sense for how education plays a role in the lives of your fellow players. Long requested: a "Questions Only" option has been added too! In Settings, you can now choose an "Animals Off" state to play with only questions. Players who wish to keep diving into conversations without guessing games can settle into more serious, focused gameplay with no palette cleansers inbetween. We do not recommend this mode for first time players! The guessing game helps with the emotional weight of the subject matters, but we are introducing this experimental mode at players' requests. - National History Update - 13 August 2021
This pack makes significant changes to the final question in each round. Now tied to vulnerability level, finale questions will be better suited for any session's chosen friendship level. This will lead to better connections, more fulfilling conclusions, and uniquely suited prompts for every set of friends. This has been applied to all past question packs now, as well as all future ones. We also released the National game pack! It focuses on political history, national culture, and how land and ethnicity overlap with that. Expect to be challenged as you answer prompts about what our nations, their histories, and futures mean to you. More animals are also joining the mix, but we figure the question changes and new questions matter most. - Summer Vacation Update - 3 July 2021
This month, we're presenting a smaller content-only update to ensure we have a new pack in time for the US and Canadian holidays. The questions for this holiday weekend are about travel, vacation, and plenty of summer memories. Did you ever have a summer flirt? How was your last summer job? Were any childhood friendships formed forever from just one summer? In addition to these 60 new questions: there's a whole new set of animals to join too! This update is brief, since it's just the content pack, but we wanted to make sure it got out on time even so. Enjoy though, and let us know your thoughts! - Spiritual Reflection Update - 14 June 2021
We're back with a slightly bigger update, and to start things off: the Spiritual Reflection pack is here! These 50 new questions cover the wide range of spiritual development that lead so many to choose a life of spirituality, atheism, religion, or somewhere in-between. We end one of the most spiritual times of the year by asking the big questions about life, what exists beyond us, and why we believe what we do. Since the wait was so long since our last update too, we've nearly doubled the number of new animals to join as well, including going back to add extra animals to the Family History pack to make it more ancestral (with a wide range of our nearest Monkey/Ape animal kingdom neighbors) as well as tweaking our Romance pack to be more avian focused with bird songs. - Irish Luck Update - 25 March 2021
The Family History Pack has arrived! We have another 50 new questions and some new animals for the back to back heritage focus of both Black History month having just ended, and St. Patrick's Irish heritage day being only last week. This pack puts a special focus on asking harder questions about family and our ancestries, and went through multiple reviews with diversity oversight to ensure all content was respectful and careful in these regards. We also have our first sale, to celebrate six months since release! Thank you all so much for the support up until now. This game has always been a dream to create, and it's wonderful to be able to share the experience with so many of you. There are no bugfixes to accompany this month's content pack, but things are looking up for a wave of new improvements later this year. - Rose Garden Update - 26 February 2021
The Romance Game Pack has arrived! Go on a cute bird watching visit among flowery decorations, and answer questions about love, romance, and dating. We have 50 new questions and a handful of new feathery creatures to join. Minor bugfixes have also been added for decorations on switching game packs, and some backend work too. Thank you for being patient as this update arrives a bit later than usual! We hope to be back on a more consistent schedule soon. And thank you all for the feedback, even if we can't fix every bug quite yet! It all helps.
- Lunar New Year Update - 29 January 2021
The New Year Game Pack is now released, for a dedicated Time, Celebration, and Life gameplay mode! All twelve zodiac animals have now been added, alongside 50 new year's themed questions. The prompts for this pack are around: Favorite parties with family or friends Reflecting on life and cherishing each year Making plans for a brighter future This is also the year of the Ox, which is supposed to be a symbol of spiritual strength. We think this question pack might be able to help cultivate that too!
- New Year's Update - 15 January 2021
Happy new year, all! Mostly a minor update here, but we've made a fix to restore the Winter Holiday pack functionality that 4k screen users had trouble with last update. Let us know in the comments if it, and room codes, are working once more for you! This update also brings Wild Honesty up to 100 animals total! That's nearly 2.5x as many as we launched with, so we're proud to reach that milestone. We are looking for feedback on how folks are enjoying the additional content too, as we want to figure out in the new year what parts of the updates fans are getting the most of out of (and where to put our resources more!) We've also added a few bubbly and sparkly - or implied sparkly - decorations to the main screen to celebrate the new year. Keep your eyes peeled for another question pack coming shortly! After all, Lunar New Year is just around the corner...
- Winter Holiday Update - 23 December 2020
A jolly old man in a red hat accidentally mixed the coal in with the gifts this year - we've got a whole new question pack filled with equal parts hard and fun questions about the holidays! This question pack's themes are Gifts, Loved Ones, and Winter. Joining too are another ten animals, mostly with a thick layer of fur to keep out the cold, and a new in-game news feature to let you know any time we release new free content or if the servers go down. We figure that's something worth alerting players of! But if that's a gift you don't want - just let us know in the Steam community discussion board. - First Snowfall Update - 13 December 2020
Reconnecting to a game from a timed-out device is now the easiest it's ever been - as browsers will automatically search for your last game and (if it's still active) ask if you'd like to rejoin it directly. This small option for disconnected players gives them control here, while making it easier for players to reconnect. We've also thrown in an elk, a beaver, a rabbit, and a few other familiar winter faces too! And you may notice an advent wreath counting down the days until our next seasonal pack is released. If you're looking for a little winter update for Wild Honesty in this festive season, this is it! And expect a bigger one later this month!
- Late Autumn Update - 26 November 2020
The Autumn Game Pack is now released, for a dedicated Fall, Food, and Family gameplay mode! A second round of ten Fall animals have also been added. This update comes with the ability to go back and play past seasonal question packs too, in case you missed them! You'll see a sparkle when new question packs have been added to the Seasonal Mode button, as we hope to continue releasing new question content, animals, and seasonal gameplay packs in the future. The Spooky Game Pack is now released, for a dedicated Halloween gameplay mode! A second round of ten Halloween animals join the mix too! This update comes with even better randomization of cards, designed specifically for multiple back-to-back rounds of gameplay, lots of new (slightly cursed) questions, and the Spooky Game Pack itself for dedicated Halloween gameplay - with 50 Halloween questions all its own. Don't be frightened. This update has lots of new fun scary little things to enjoy!
