  • Dev Diary #11: Vehicle Intelligence - 17 December 2025

Hey everyone!Get ready for a massive info dump regarding the progress we've made on vehicle behaviours. It's been quite some time since the last development video - for which we apologize - but the amount of features we were working on was quite large, and it also wasn't particularly easy. Especially because the simulation is multithreaded and needs to adhere to strict architectural requirements to ensure maximum performance. So, without going into too much detail, in this video we'll be talking about:Basic vehicle movementSpeed limitCollisionsCrosswalksMergingLane changingLane sortingLane ratingPathfindingCongestionA* algorithmTrailersTrailer lane changingMega tramMiddle connectionsSneak peeksAnd additional thoughtsAs usual, thank you very much for watching & following the development of Junxions. You are the reason we keep moving forward. Cheers and happy holidays everyone!

  • Release date delay - 10 September 2025

Hey everyone,In major news, Junxions release year has been changed to 2026. We apologize for any disappointment this might cause, but we want to remain committed to delivering our vision of the game that will be polished and optimized enough for you to enjoy. We’ve been transparent about our development progress since the beginning and made it always known that we would prefer a delay instead of a rushed launch. In the spirit of said transparency let us share more about why we won’t be able to deliver this year, when you can expect it instead, and what’s going to happen next. Why?As shared in the last few months, we’ve had a bunch of features to be completed by September, but we couldn’t manage it in time. Therefore, it is now obvious that we won’t be able to release the game within 2025. As to why we are behind, most of you probably know that this game has been a solo project for most…

  • Dev Diary #10: Map Import & Buildings - Development Progress - 28 May 2025

Hey everyone! We have almost finished implementing the map import feature, including the building tool. So let's take a look together at how it works and see famous buildings and skylines directly in the game, including Manhattan, London, Amsterdam, or Grand Canyon. We will also showcase all the options on how these buildings can be modified and explain some of our decisions regarding these features. Thanks for watching! Cheers ❤️

  • Dev Diary #9: Not Just Bikes - Development Progress - 7 May 2025

Hey everyone, the time to talk about bicycles is finally here! In the following development progress video we'll take a look at how bike lanes and cyclists work, while also mentioning some related funcionality. We'll go over building lanes, pathfinding, animations, and the simulation itself. Bikes are also the first step in refactoring, improving, and finishing the AI overall, which is the last big feature on the roadmap before the first public playtests can begin. Thanks for watching! Cheers ❤️

  • Dev Diary #8: Surface Lift - Development Progress - 19 March 2025

Hey everyone! New development progress video is up, this time related to height of individual surfaces (lanes, sidewalks, lawns, and so on) inside roads and intersections. Thanks to this feature, not only you will be able to change the surface type, order, and width, but also its lift, which gives you a lot of new options, some of which are very unexpected. Let's dive into it deeper together.

  • Dev Diary #7: Intersection Move-It Tool - Development Progress - 26 February 2025

Hey everyone, we're happy to share another development progress video! In Junxions, placing lanes, walkways, bike lanes, railways, and other surfaces has always been relatively easy - you can create a very complex and realistically looking intersection in record time. You can then move, rotate, or reuse this intersection anywhere. But what happens when you want to modify something inside of it, like changing the angle at which a road enters or moving something by a few meters? Well, you no longer need to destroy and rebuild; after the latest update, it's as easy as dragging your mouse. Let us show you the feature quickly becoming one of the most important intersection-building tools. And as usual, we would love to hear your feedback in the comments, cheers! ❤️

  • Dev Diary #6: Road Height & Tilt - Development Progress - 12 February 2025

Hey everyone! We are happy to announce that we have decided to start sharing newly published development progress videos to Steam! In today's video, we'll be looking at revamped road placement, height & tilting. While some of these changes might seem minor, they were absolutely essential for improving the user experience and increasing the maintainability of the code since it was one of the oldest pieces of code and caused a cascade of very much-needed refactoring. But in the end, it was definitely worth it. We've uploaded five previous videos before this one covering the following topics: Dynamic Surfaces Intersection Copying Improved Intersection Algorithms Left Hand Traffic New World UI You can find all these videos including today's in this playlist. This video is also a milestone for us, as we've hired a new editor, and Hooded Horse is helping with intros, outros, and thumbnails. T…

  • Major News: Junxions Joins Hooded Horse! - 18 September 2024

Hey everyone! I’m very excited to announce that we have signed a partnership with Hooded Horse! Hooded Horse is known for publishing outstanding indie games in the city-building genre, such as Manor Lords and Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic, among many others. I am personally very much looking forward to working with people of such caliber and a mindset that’s very close to our own. Hooded Horse CEO’s Perspective "CyberStorm showed us how Junxions can load up the traffic intersections of real-world cities and then modify them as we like,” says Hooded Horse CEO Tim Bender. “The simulation’s complexity is astounding, and the game truly aims to create the ultimate traffic management experience. We wanted to help bring this dream to life." What Does This Mean for Junxions? In short, there’s no stopping Junxions now — it’s happening, and so is the sequel City-Builder. Thanks to Hooded H…

  • Follow the development progress - 12 June 2024

Hey everyone! First of all, let me thank you all for following our little game. The community response has been amazing so far and we are very grateful for each and every one of you. If you want to follow Junxions develoment progress more closely, we have set up a Trello roadmap for you to view: https://trello.com/b/Gh5b89Il/junxions It lists all features planned for development for each stage - alpha, beta, and release. Note that some might be missing, if you think that's the case, let us know in the comments. Currently our main focus will be to reach the alpha stage as soon as possible and get it out to a few of you to playtest and start gathering feedback early, so that we can deliver the best possible product down the road. From this moment on we'll also be posting dev progress weekly or bi-weekly to our Discord server, mostly depending on whether there'll be anything to show, as th…
