First, we must apologize for our lack of testing that leads to unpleasant experiences for players. Right now, we are updating our first patch which brings following changes: 1. Remaining food: Now, there will be a piece of meat near you when you are respawned, allowing you to have some 'emergency supply' while you are still a cub. 2. In order to help players to find preys easier, we enlarged the detecting range of leopards. Press "V" to sniff, this feature will help you to track down preys in a wide range of 500m. Once been detected there will be a red arrow on the top of your preys to help you locate them. 3. Now, the players can see each others' name when they are in the same server. Players' names will be shown to let you know their direction while you are playing. 4. Only adult leopard are capable of climbing trees, fixed the bug of cubs able to climb trees. During this peroid of time, we improved and optimized Lightning Fast from various aspects. 1. AI intellegence improved We optimized the sight and hearing of our AI. While you are in the cover of rocks, slopes or trees, your preys are unlikely to notice you by sights. Yet they are still sensitive to your noises. Use the sneaking mode wisely to travel from a cover to another to deliver the lethal bite to your preys. 2. Birds AI available now In the trailer, we represented the scene of crows feed on the body. I am very sorry to notice you that a 20 days' delay will take place concerning Lightning Fast's early access announcement. In our latest testing version, we found that some part of the game had not reached our expectation. Even it is just an early access version we are announcing, we are still hoping that we would present a perfect experience for players. In 20 days, we will optimize the details in the game, including sounds, special effects, balance, etc. We want to make the early access version a good experience for us all. Therefore the early access announcement will be put off till Jun.18th. During the 20 days' peroid, we will share our progress with you. Long time no see, we had been focusing on the mission system during the past three weeks. And have realized following features: 1. Co-op missions: As a Co-op game, Lightning Fast considers co-op experiences as our priority. Therefore, we value the concept of 'co-op missions'. These tasks are of higher difficulty but are rather entertaining at the same time. How you complete the missions with your partners or to pick the mission that you're capable of would be a demonstration of your survival ability. As a Co-op game, Lightning Fast values AI logic, for it has been proved vital for players' experiences. Last two week, we had been putting much effort in AI logics and realized following features: 1. AI alert system: Now, the creatures of Divach Plain have alert ranges. As a predator, if you just wandering around undisguised, your prey will likely to be alerted and keep some distance. However, if you lower your body try sneaking upon your target, then perhaps you will win your meal. 2. AI groups: In some games, AI works only on their own. Even social animals run randomly and not being 'social' which could make it unnatural when you chase down your preys. Well, we can confidently tell you that Lightning Fast have done an outstanding job in AI groups. Climbing feature enabled: As a leopard living in Divach Plain, an unique skill is required: climbing trees. Why not climb up to the top of the gaint Baobab trees? Thus to face some overwhelming enemies or just to enjoy a meal undisturbed. Enjoy your time as a dominating predator! In this week's development, we focused on designing and improving the climbing feature. Now players can climb trees while carrying prey and travel flexibly through branches. Graphic upgrade and more: 1. Applying both SSAA and TAA We apllied SSAA and TAA anti-aliasing simultaneously in the game. By processing it, the application would not only improve the graphics, but also reduce the consumption of both CPU and GPU. 2. Other features and future plans Creative and interesting features have always been the priorities that we concern.
