• New Gamemode: Hide and Seek - 14 February 2024

  Hide and Seek is here! We know it can be tough to rope 5-8 fellow cultists to perform The Ritual, so we figured a paired down 2-4 player gamemode would help bridge the gap! In Hide and Seek, players take turns being the seeker, while the rest of the lobby hides. Then the seeker is let loose, and has to find (and kill) all the hiders before the timer runs out. If they manage to kill everyone, they win the round. If not, all the hiders win. The first player with 3 round wins the game! All the normal interactables like, bats, torches, and mirrors are scattered across a smaller map, except all interactions and possessions are completely FREE! Runes? I hardly know'em! • New Year Bugfixes - 3 January 2024

  With the new year comes another small update that addresses some issues and improves QOL in the Menus. We're still working on the new Hide and Seek mode, but can't say much more yet! - Fixed a bug that inverted torch burn-possession direction. - Fixed a slowdown on host when a client disconnects mid-game - Added escape menu during role intros and improved menu logic - Additional presentation tweaks and improvements

• Fixes and Improvements - 23 November 2023

  Happy Thanksgiving from the Cult! As we give thanks, we also release this update with some small changes and fixes. Changes - Adjusted the Chapel Room to open up navigation options. - Added animation to the clouds outside the map. Fixes - Fixed game hanging during map load when playing repeat games. From Feedback Form! - Fixed some menu display issues on non default resolutions. Thanks everyone for playing, smashing F11 to give feedback, and for all the awesome reviews! • Lobby Browser now available - 31 October 2023

  A lobby browser is here to finally make public games actually public! With this added publicity, the ability to ban players (currently only accessible through typing "/ban" in the chat) is here to give just a bit more control over who you're playing with. Other changes - Private Lobbies now support join codes in addition to normal steam invites - Accepting invites in non-main menus should work correctly - feedback button on mac is now f10 to avoid default binding conflicts - other small fixes Hopefully you find some dutiful cultists to perform the ritual with!   - Updated window visuals - Added "Waiting for Sightings" display when no rune sightings are active - all "suspicious" interactions now display as Orange - bug fixes

• Cult Of Personality Is Here! - 27 October 2023

  Cult Of Personality is officially out in the wild! It's been a long time coming, but we're stoked to finally let people get possessing. Huge thanks to everyone and anyone that helped playtest before the release! If you give the game a whirl definitely hit the feedback button (F11/F10) if you encounter any issues, or if you have thoughts on features or gameplay. As for what's next, a Server Browser and lots of QOL improvements are currently in the works :) Happy Haunting!
