Well, some quality of life updates, bug fixes and a controller support along with new steam art have already been released. And the localization update is still in the works. I think it gives a bit more polished look the page, but what do you think?Secondly - the gamepad-controller-steam deck update is now live and you can play Spellpowder: Uprising in somewhat a new way. Greetings, tacticians!It's been 3 months already since the game released! To celebrate this little milestone, there's a week-long sale now. So if it’s been on your wishlist (or a friend’s), now’s a great time to jump into the world of Spellpowder.As for those who already played (or even finished) the game - I really hope it met your expectations and had fun with it. Also, if you haven’t written a Steam review yet, it would help a lot if you did.Future plans:Before moving on onto the other games, I'd like to try adding some things to Uprising, specifically:Controller Support - Handheld devices are getting more and more popular. Even though the game was primarily made to be touch screen compatible (the plan was scrapped when hub area was introduced) I'll try to map controls to gamepad to at least a playable level (that means can beat the whole game without resorting to keyboard and mouse)…

Another small update to make your playthroughs smoother: Pressing 'Space' when character is selected will set it to 'Defend' Added some gleam to dropped loot Added save game deletion confirmation to prevent accidental save deletes Fixed soft-locking when going through a character standing on loot. Greetings, adventurers! I hope your travels are going well. Here's a small update with some graphical adjustments and quality-of-life improvements: As requested on the discussion boards, I've added an option for free camera movement! The camera no longer follows the active/selected character and can now be moved freely, even during enemy turns. You'll find this setting in the options menu. Adjusted contrast slightly - colors should now appear more vivid. Fixed an issue where the objective window wouldn't disappear on very wide screens. Fixed visual issues in the airship. After a long wait (5+ years!) Spellpowder: Uprising is finally released. Much work and love went into this and I hope you'll enjoy the game at least as much as I enjoyed making it. The uprising has begun! Spellpowder: Uprising is now live in Steam Next Fest, with an updated demo, that features first four chapters of the game, along with cutscenes and intro cinematic. - Spellpowder: Uprising is participating in the Next Fest - 23 January 2025
Greetings tacticians, Spellpowder: Uprising will be participating in an upcoming Steam Next Fest, from February 24 with a new updated demo. This one will feature cutscenes and other updates from internal build. It will be a last demo update (without some bug fixing if needed) before game release. To prepare for that, old demo will be taken down. The new demo will come online on Next Fest, so feel free to try new demo and share your experiences in Spellpowder discord server. Stay strong,
- The wait is almost over! - 7 July 2024
Greetings, Work on a Spellpowder: Uprising is coming to an end, so it's high time to set a release date. And that is year 2025. I know, I know it's somewhat vague, but since the game was started in 2020 even knowing years is great. So what can you expect is this time? Streaming - not sure Youtube or Twitch, but will be streaming more often, to show the game Kickstarter? - might create a campaign to see how it works and goes, not 100% sure yet Voice Acting audition - more info will be on Discord server some time later Next Fest in 2025 with updated demo and new trailer And game release of course, biggest event of them all. - Spellpowder: Uprising will participate in Steam Strategy Fest with a NEW DEMO - 26 August 2023
Greetings Tacticians! Steam Strategy Fest is in few days and what is a better way to celebrate it than with a new demo, eh? So starting from August 28th new demo will be available in Spellpowder steam page in which you will be able to create your own character and test how it would fare against challenges in first four chapters.
