• Important: WoTU is shutting down - 12 May 2026

  Hello everyone!It was fun developing this game and a great experience for us in delivering such game to the public, but as you all know, the game updates stopped a long time ago due to various reasons. All this time, I tried to get back to the development of this game, but it's been 3 years already since the last update and there's still no new new update in sight.As such, the decision was made to publicly announce that our game Wings of The Universe will be shutting down by the end of October this year.Thank you all for playing our little game. • v0.2.7a - factories patch - 9 July 2023

  Hello everyone! As planned, there is a small patch coming up today. This patch brings the following that didn't make it in time for the v0.2.7 game update: UPGRADES: All factories for the player-made space stations were updated to allow productions for all available equipment sizes and up to the prototype quality level of the item. FIXES: The new Construct Spawner (known also as Station Spawner) didn't restrict the stations in the system -> now fixed and the systems cannot have more than 5 player-made space stations. when constructing a new space station, the system didn't care about the NPC stations being close to the construction place -> now fixed and the new space stations cannot be too close to the NPC space stations.   Hello everyone! The game development is slowly catching up on the plans put down in the development roadmap for 2023 and as a result of that, a big v0.2.7 game update is coming next week! As usual, the update starts at 10pm UK time and shouldn't take longer than 1 hour. This update is mostly based on the feedback from the players and brings a lot of game-changer features, such as the limited NPC shops with all equipment in standard quality only to allow players to get new pieces of equipment even without building the stations - although it is still cheaper to build your own stations - so be sure to save up a lot of Courons! Now is the best time to get back into the game to save as much Courons as possible to get the equipment/ship you want! Simplified Station Spawner and better Starmap are also included in this update, which will help a lot in building the space station anywhere you wan…

  Hello everyone, The update will start at 10pm UK time on 26th May and shouldn't take longer than 1 hour. The game server will be unavailable during the update installation. Once the server is updated, the new game version will be available for download here on Steam. The new version will bring some important fixes as well as some new features, upgrades of existing features and balancing adjustments, some of which are based on the feedback from the players! More details on the upcoming update will be published during the next week in the patch notes board on this forum. The update is actually coming 3 months later than planned due to my health issues and other personal stuff, including finding and moving to another house.   Hello everyone, The time has come to bring the 1st game update since the game launched in December last year. The update will start at 10pm UK time on 27th January and shouldn't take longer than 1 hour. The game server will be unavailable during the update installation. Once the server is updated, the new game version will be available for download here on Steam. This new version of the game comes with some new features, adjustments, balancing and bug fixes. • WoTU public release coming soon on Steam! - 12 December 2022

  Hello everyone, The waiting is almost over! Wings of The Universe is going live with its public version Open Alpha v0.2.4 on 17th December, 2022, at 10:00am UK time. It is going to be the very first public release of the game. Please, keep in mind that it is going to be an open alpha version, there might be some bugs and some features might get changed over time. Any feedback or bug report is very much appreciated. The first public release will also focus on performance of the game server as there weren't many active players at the same time during the closed alpha testing.
