• Time Trial Ghost Functionality Added! - 20 June 2026

  An initial version of Time Trial Ghost saving/loading functionality has been updated into the game. Ghosts are saved as .gst files in the same place that savegame data is stored; Users\\\\\AppData\\Local\\AeroGPX\\Saved\\Ghosts if you would like to share them with your friends! Any ghost files that are shared with you should also go in this folder for the game to recognize and load in. More functionality (including the ability to load in multiple ghosts and race against them) will be added soon. There were no other changes for this update, but there will be more updates soon. I'm targeting the end of summer for 1.0 release. Thank you for playing!

• Bug Fixes and Improvements in Track Visibility - 4 April 2026

  Time Trial ghosts unfortunately weren't ready in time for this update, but I'll try to have them for the next one! Just a few changes made it into this one, but they're kinda fun. -Fixed bug that made falling retires impossible if the player hadn't started lap 1 yet -Added turn arrows to various turns on tracks to help with visibility -Modified dithering on healing/boost lasers to allow for better visibility at greater distance -Fixed "Track Text Here" in Time Trial menu Thank you for playing!

• Local Multiplayer Grand Prix and More Bug Fixes! - 27 March 2026

  -Added Grand Prix Support to Local Splitscreen Multiplayer -Added Burn Boosts to Spectrum: Super Highway on the third section to make burn path slightly easier -Fixed Bug that allowed for Local Splitscreen to be played with a single player -Fixed Bug that caused Single Player events to not register inputs properly -Fixed Bug that caused the Death Plane to not work properly on Two Dimensions 2 There's some issues that players have been having with local splitscreen multiplayer inputs; I'm still trying to get to the bottom of those. For now, a potential solution that might fix those issues is to disable Steam Cloud functionality for Aero GPX, navigate to /AppData/Local/AeroGPX/Saved/SaveGames and delete CustomUserSettings.sav. Then, go to /AppData/Local/AeroGPX/Saved/Config/WindowsNoEditor and delete Input.ini. Fire the game up, and you'll need to reset all of your custom settings and con…

• Local Splitscreen Multiplayer Single Races and Bug Fixes - 20 March 2026

  Aero GPX now has support for Local Splitscreen Multiplayer! So far, it's only for single races, but I'll be adding support for Grand Prix and other missing details (rebindable controls, accessibility features per player) soon. For now, any players other than player 1 use the default control scheme and settings. There might also be some bugs that didn't get caught when testing, but everything should work as expected for the most part!   Hello to all of the Aero GPX pilots and hopefuls here on Steam! It's almost been a year since the Early Access release of Aero GPX, and it's about time that I use the announcement feature to let you all know about changes that have been made to the game, Aero GPX's participation in Steam's Racing Game's fest, and future updates to the game. Let's hit the accelerator and get right into it! Steam's Racing Games festival is currently happening! It's running from right now until August 4th 10AM PT!   There were some dark times for sci-fi racing games after Sony closed Wipeout developer Studio Liverpool in 2012. As Nintendo left F-Zero to languish, high-speed antigrav racers became one of those "don't make 'em like they used to" genres for a few years, until indie games like Redout and BallisticNG started to fill the void.
