HeroSquare is a minimalist metroidvania where you must find your missing heart friend in a strange and colorful world full of danger. Armed with your ability to parry & reflect enemy bullets, you will face formiddable bosses, discover cryptic secrets and explore for new powers!

Start on an epic adventure of square proportions! Explore mysterious zones, conquer challenging puzzles, and engage in thrilling battles with fierce foes. Unlock the full potential of your hero by collecting powerful items scattered throughout the land. The greatest of adventurers will discover hidden treasures waiting for only the bravest of explorers. Parry bullets! Once discovered, the Parry Bullet power allows you to parry incoming bullets and reflect them back at enemies! Explore for secrets! Does it look like a good fit? In HeroSquare secrets are everywhere, and good positioning is the key to many of them! Power up! On your adventure you will add new abilities and upgrades to your arsenal. Master them to reach the finale of HeroSquare! Triumph in battle! You will face tough bosses determined to stop your progress. However there's always a way forward, especially if one looks around a bit! We find our hero stranded under the stars. How you ended up here is a mystery, and so is the exact nature of this colorful world, that you find yourself in. One memory however remains, something once had, but now lost. Somewhere in this world, a heart awaits...
