• WastePunk v0.2 - Complete overhaul - 26 June 2025

  In the upcoming days I will be launching v0.2 with complete overhaul of the whole game. This includes updates to mechanics, dialogues, lore, quest structure, music, 14 new locations, NPC characters & most importantly a full-fledged classic post apocalypse story - inspired by Fallout 1,2,NV and Trailer Park Boys. The game will be in form of an RPG-lite.For the last few months I have been working really hard on the game and I have aimed to release it at the start of the Steam Summer Sale, although I still need a few days to wrap things up and do some tests.Thank you again for your patience and support!

• Devlog #3: Story Mode Under Way - 12 May 2025

  Hi Everyone, small announcement for upcoming story mode and final gameplay changes. The arena/extraction/roguelite (from last devlog) was fun although quickly became extremely challenging with the various shooter raider enemies so it will be merged with the story mode. Arcade style gameplay will be merged with story mode Open world gameplay will be sorted out in to mutliple smaller compact maps Fast travel between the locations. Fast travel will be done by entering and exiting your car, although there will be no driving. Blackwater has been extended and will be a normal location (not just a management screen) Classic RPG style dialogues with NPCs will be added to the game. • Devlog #2: Gameplay Changes - 22 April 2025

  Hey everyone, I'd like to announce the changes I'm working on for WastePunk. Since pretty much everyone found the gameplay lackluster and not very engaging, I'm working on some major gameplay changes. From some distance I could probably imagine a game that you would like this to be, maybe sort of large scale game like fallout 4 - although that obviously isn't possible as I'm just 1 person working on it. I'm keeping the elements that based on feedback I think you enjoyed the most; which was arcade style combat - the shooter part of the game. The major changes will be moving to a sort of arena/extraction/roguelite gameplay which is turning out to be pretty fun. I am also changing the visual style to be more of a dark/retro post apo - as well as changing the main character. There will also be some major changes to the marketing material. • Devlog #1 Final Core: Fixes & AI Polish Pass! - 12 April 2025

  Hey everyone! Thanks for posting your reviews and feedback on the 0.1v launch. I hear your concerns and have noted the issues with gameplay. At this point I have fixed all the problems/bugs noted - the few small bugs an melee AI issues. Along with these there were some issues with the AI in closed spaces. Blackwater was sort of a starting point for the launch and eventually will be just a location in the early-mid game, with updated role-playing content/mechanics. At this point I will be working on a more engaging gameloop with some mechanics update. I will be launching v 0.2 with a new more engaging game mode along with a few updates and new mechanics. • WastePunk Launch - 26 March 2025

  Thanks for playing WastePunk! Especially to early players who have provided feedback on the demo and helped make an awesome game for launch. The content is still a bit sparse but hopefully the huge launch discount will make up for it! WastePunk has undergone so many changes it is almost a completely different game, for the better! Hope you like it and if you do let your friends know to play this currently small and very ambitious post apocalypse game. I personally feel like there aren't too many post apo games to play so I'm hoping to build a great community and make something special. • Feedback Updates - 20 December 2024

  WastePunk has undergone major changes based on feedback from players who posted their thoughts in the community hub. That said wastepunk is shaping up and is going to be a fairly different experience from the demo. Changes include: Start in a town: Currently you will start in a town(Blackwater) overview where you can manage your equipment and buy ammo. This town will undergo changes in the future, shop upgrades, weapon upgrades & more. Choose a job in form of a bounty (hunt raiders) and return to earn cash to get better equipment and buy ammo. Streamlined inventory: Streamlined simplified inventory. Collect limited items and ammo.
