- The More, the Merrier - 31 August 2026
We’ve spent much of this month testing and polishing Shizuru’s scenes. That includes fixing technical issues, tightening the writing, and occasionally rebuilding parts that weren’t quite meeting our standards. It’s painstaking work, but the result is a noticeably stronger and more polished experience. The Erica/Hana content is now complete and will enter testing next. We expect to make some additional adjustments once we see everything working together in-game, with that round of testing planned for September. Meanwhile, Erica, Hana, and Tomie have discovered that three is not, in fact, a crowd. Provided the bed is big enough. This means that our fantastic artist has been working on the final training scene: Erica/Stacy. The first half actually focuses on Erica having some fun with Hana and Tomie while Michael trains with Stacy elsewhere, so this month’s preview contains a particularly…
- Erica and Tomie deserve some extra attention - 1 August 2026
So we were expecting to get the Erica and Hana scene done this month. "But the post title mentions Tomie? Are you drunk and/or lying to us?" I hear you ask. Neither. Today, at least. The scene is fundamentally about Erica training Michael with Hana as willing participant. However, we believe in adding more hotness to scenes. Compounding sexiness. Why remove when you can add? More is better, up to a reasonable limit, of course. So Tomie's there as well by Erica's request. What does that look like? A bit like this: This means we're actually only halfway done with what is labeled in the script as the Erica/Hana training sequence. The astute amongst you will have noticed a distinct lack of Hana in that image. She's with Michael in the same room, but the art is split in order to focus on the two wildly different interactions. Would it have been faster to make one big image with all 4? I don'…
- Summer heat ain't got us beat - 30 June 2026
Before we get to anything else, you better know we're part of the Steam Summer Sale. Were you waiting for good deals to buy one of our games you've had your eye on? Now's the time! Still considering that DLC that appeals to your niche taste? You should probably buy that while it's on sale. Give in to temptation. Moving on to DommeBreaker, we finished the initial version of Shizuru's Stage 3 combat last month. This month, we tested and the results are gonna take some explaining. Stage 3 is a whole new type of fight, because it involves a third character (Erica) performing the 'attacks' in a way that affects both the player and Shizuru. This means the player has to account for Erica's damage to Shizuru when trying to set up a combo or plan out future turns. On the one hand, this gives us a handy new tool for balancing, because the more damaging attack patterns can do more damage to Shizur…
- 2 For the price of 1! - 31 May 2026
We promised a sexy twist for Shizuru's Stage 3 combat and you best believe we're keeping that promise. The Shizuru dlc will feature Mistress Erica from Femdom Lines as a side character. Initially, she helps out in a more passive, advisory role. However, by the final showdown with Shizuru, she joins in for her own reasons and pleasure. Erica wants to see how much erotic torture Shizuru can take while the player fucks Shizuru's brainst out. Together, they'll have to break the craziest painslut either of them has ever met. So how does this work mechanically? Shizuru doesn't perform any attacks in Stage 3. Instead, Erica will perform 'attacks' on Shizuru that deal damage and add status effects. For instance, when Erica drips hot wax on Shizuru, it'll deal damage over time to Shizuru, but the reactive convulsions will cause pleasure to Michael, damaging the player's Stamina. Or Erica might p…
- 1/3 OF THE YEAR; 2/3 OF THE WAY - 1 May 2026
Okay, that's not 100% accurate, but we've finished Shizuru Stage 2 combat. Now we move on to testing. Meanwhile, the artist is working on figuring out the art for the Stage 3 combat and we should have a spicy surprise in store for next month when we reveal how that'll work. This month, we talk about Stage 2 and why it's shaping up the way it is. Last month, we showed the feedback we'd been receiving since the release of our demo. The most surprising result was Jitsuko's dominance battle being the favorite by far. Like 50% of all votes. This was even more surprising when you factor in that Tomie scored the highest in visual design. We looked at the few written responses we got and talked to some of our own testers to see what we could learn from this. The result: near as we can figure, it comes down to people preferring the pov style of art. So we took that lesson to heart for Shizuru. H…
- DATA! So much data! - 31 March 2026
Some of it is even useful! The Next Fest Demo went live earlier this month, even though we technically missed the Next Fest, so our feedback Google form has been collecting data. First off, the feedback so far through the form, forums and personal messages has been very positive and that's been great to see. We are aware, of course, that only the people who liked the demo enough to finish it and fill in the form are going to be represented there, but other sources of feedback have also been very positive. Combined with the fact that this was literally the least sexy/exciting part of the game, being the build-up, we assume it's somewhat fair to extrapolate the received feedback to an overall player impression. So let's take a look first at some of the polls: Let's start with the character polls. These were very surprising to us. We've done polls in the past to see which character people…
- LIFE FINDS A WAY. DOMMEBREAKER DEMO IS LIVE! - 3 March 2026
It's us. We're life. We found a way. Actually, we didn't do much of anything, but suddenly the demo was just approved. Near the end of Next Fest, though, so we couldn't join that anymore. Hence why we're releasing it today! Yes, it's released right now! Play it! After reading this! Or before. I don't know, do whatever. Fair warning, we're not gonna change the texts in the demo that reference Next Fest nor are we changing the feedback form. It's funnier that way. To me, at least. We'll just pretend everything went entirely according to plan. Personally, I spent quite a bit of time these last couple days on trying a bunch of games, adult and otherwise. That hasn't stopped us from making time for DommeBreaker, of course. So what did we do this month while the demo was in limbo? Continued working on Shizuru, naturally. Specifically, we decided the old designs for Stages 2 and 3, although th…
- So where's that Next Fest Demo? - 23 February 2026
Hey, everyone! It’s deeply unfortunate, but we’re not able to participate in the current Steam Next Fest with the DommeBreaker demo. The demo build was submitted a while back and is currently under Steam review. This time the Steam review process is taking longer than expected and in our case it means we missed the festival timing. We’ll launch the demo as soon as it’s approved and let you all know as soon as it's available. Thank you for your understanding!
- Special dev tactics: make second build and test it! - 31 January 2026
In the 2025 wrap-up post, we mentioned we were working on a special build. A separate build. One might say a build meant to DEMOnstrate what's coming NEXT. In a... umm... FESTive way? I don't really have a good ending for that. It was either that or describing development as "FESTering" and that sounds awful. The point is we're signed up for the upcoming Steam Next Fest, a returning event where games get to release special demo builds to show what's cooking, try to reach a new audience and get player feedback. I don't know if we're allowed to say exactly when it starts, but there's a reason we're mentioning it at the end of January. When the Next Fest begins, we'll also post a short message reminding you all to check out the DommeBreaker demo. As for January itself, our main artist took the month off for personal reasons, but the background artist finished their work, so the reworked ba…
- What an exhausting year - 20 December 2025
Are you tired? Because we're tired. What even was 2025, man? Simultaneously too short and so exhaustingly long. I've hit the point where I just consistently wake up tired after sleeping 8 hours. My dreams haven't gotten any better either. If anybody knows of a card-game where you can play an H of Frogs for an Intervention of 5, let me know. That one keeps haunting me, because I don't know what move I'm supposed to make and always wake up with a headache. Anyway, this is the end-of-year recap of what we did and didn't do in 2025 and, I gotta be honest, I had to look up the community posts at the end of 2024 to remember what state the game was even in back then. Good thing I did too, because I almost gave this recap the same title. At the time, we'd finished all 3 Stages of Tomie, Emily and Jitsuko. We'd just decided on adding Hana as a final boss and all the scenes beyond combat still ne…
- Shizuru's spicy strikes! - 30 November 2025
Shizuru's Stage 1 combat is in full swing! With the attacks designed and arts planned out, our artist has been cooking up that good stuff. Shizuru will focus on using her whip in Stage 1 as she interprets the duel to be more straightforward rather than kinky. Don't worry, she learns the error of her ways quickly as Michael gets her to expose her tits and 'fight' on his terms. As mentioned previously, the Shizuru fight will have phase effects for each phase, but that's not the only surprise. In Stage 1, each phase is also radically different. Starting relatively weak in phase 1, she gets stronger in phase 2 over time. Meanwhile, phase 3 starts with a burst of explosive anger that calms over time. Why the anger? Well, Michael has learned some tricks of his own to prepare for Shizuru. In the base game, the phases of combat are meant to ramp up. With Shizuru, to make her stand out more, we'…
- We're gonna pretend it's still October - 5 November 2025
Look, there were pc-related reasons the update wasn't posted October 31st, okay? Better late than never and it's not like we had anything scary for Halloween anyway. In my defense, it's been years since I've seen anything scarier than my sleep schedule, so I don't bother much with horror stuff myself. The news is good, though! The base game is nearly finished. How nearly? Let's get into it. We mentioned a couple months ago we'd started reworking backgrounds and music. Two aspects that were done quickly early on to have all the pieces in place, but that we felt no longer held up in quality compared to the rest of the game after the polishing and UI rework. The reworked backgrounds are coming along nicely as we got a separate artist to do those, but will need some more time. Music is coming along bit by bit. More importantly, everything else is done now. Of course, there's still testing t…
- Breaking News for DommeBreaker! - 30 September 2025
Our artist is still working on the new backgrounds and they're gonna take a while longer to complete. Fortunately, we're pretty sure people are more interested in the sexy art than backgrounds and we've got plenty of that. The old Store page was more of a placeholder for people to follow the monthly updates and to let people wishlist the game. Now that the base game is nearly complete, we were finally able to make a page that properly represents the game. Those of you who remember the old Store page might recall there were 5 images and nothing too spicy to show at the time. Now we've got a much more tantalizing sampling of in-game works, including all the base game characters, some outfit variants and, of course, a couple previews of the sexy combat. The description on the Store page has also been updated with a short bio for each character and a more complete list of features. The old…
- WE'RE SERIOUS PROFESSIONALS, I SWEAR... - 31 August 2025
Who wants to talk about user interface? I hope you do, because I'm about to. Early days, we were using the UI style that we'd used in most of our games so far: white text on blue or pink boxes. You know, the functional kind. We just had to get things working and visually clear. Well, as you've undoubtedly heard by now, we're polishing the ever-kink-loving heck out of this game, so we decided to update the UI as well. Don't worry, we haven't succumbed to the 'sad beige' plague. The health bars, ability grid, menus and upgrade screens have all been given a higher contrast, sleeker, more professional looking re-design, but we've stuck to the blue/pink style with white text. We just made it better. This new UI is an even bigger improvement in combat. We've made the health bars smaller and changed the player abilities from a grid to a list. This allows the player abilities to be completely v…
- Whip her! Whip her good! (Shizuru, that is) - 31 July 2025
Progress? Don't ask me about progress! Listen, we're still working on improving the backgrounds. Meanwhile, there's writing and designing being done for Shizuru, but that's not very visually exciting without art to accompany it. Still, we're gonna be explaining the basis of Shizuru's combat and why it is what it is. See, instead of the timer-based combat where the player has to outlast the Dommes that will make up the base game (and most likely the majority of future DLC), Shizuru is gonna be a more straight up fight. Let me start this explanation at the beginning, though. We decided early on that each DLC girl would have her own unique mechanic in some way. As mentioned previously, originally Shizuru's unique mechanic was gonna be phase effects that alter how each of the 3 phases of a fight plays out by giving her buffs/debuffs. As you may recall, we decided a couple months back to giv…
- Big Time Polish! - 30 June 2025
So we had backgrounds for every area in the game. Have had them for a long time, in fact. However, as we're in the polishing stages, the decision was made to have them redone touched up, because they'd been made quickly in the past to get the game together. Now we want them to look better. How long will this take? Probably about another month or two, judging by the current pace. Once those are finished and added, slap those bad boys in along with music that'll be finished in that same time frame and the base game will finally be ready for complete internal testing. That should only take a week or two before we send it out to our other testers. Fret not! We do have something more interesting than backgrounds to show for this month. Another aspect of polish is looking at scenes that could use just that little bit extra. Another bit of art. A little extra sauce. Some more of that good stuf…
- I would've preferred in-game bugs - 31 May 2025
Things were going too well the last 2 months. I should've known the universe wouldn't allow this to continue. Termites from beyond the garden wall effectively ground writing and Shizuru combat design to a halt this month as I used what free time I had dealing with it. Fittingly, our artist finished the failure ending art, because that reflects how I felt about May: In the absence of new content to work on, our artist has been polishing up the background arts. Sound effects have also been added and, some cases, replaced with others. The kind of polishing that comes up late in the development process. Sometimes it's hard to know where to stop with adding and polishing, but we're also just tired. Or I am, at least. We're also still looking for any small issues we may have overlooked as we get the base game near completion. With any luck, we'll get the base game out to our testers in June a…
- The Boss Bitch - 30 April 2025
We told you last month that the Hana fight was already designed and programmed well ahead of schedule. This month, we'll explain a little more about what makes her fight unique. A quick refresher on the flow of combat: the goal is to resist the Domme until the timer runs out, but they go through 3 phases in a fight; each of which changes up the attack patterns and art. The key difference is that each of the 3 base Dommes has a specific combat style, but Hana can do it all: offense, defense, buffs and debuffs. This makes it harder to counter her style and will force players to adapt per phase. The scariest part? Testing revealed the most commonly used strat to deal with tough fights and we specifically designed Hana's phase 2 to counter that. That's not all, folks! Hana will also be the player's first encounter with a mechanic we were initially gonna reserve for DLC chapters: phase effec…
- We're in (h)o(e)verdrive! - 31 March 2025
We've all got jobs, responsibilities, lives, families. You know how it is. Every now and then, though, things line up just right. This was one of those months. We got so much done! When evaluating remaining workloads at the end of last year, we figured it would take about 3 months to finish the Park scenes, including testing, re-writes and fixing. Done first week of March. Behold! Hold on, hold on. I know that doesn't sound like we're really ahead of schedule. Oh, but then there's Hana. See, we'd assumed another 3 months or so for Hana's final boss fight and had hoped to finish her in June. Guess what? Nearly done already and we were supposed to start on it in April. We'll show off some more details about that fight next month, because she'll be mixing up the formula a bit (as befits the final challenge). Her fight's designed, most of the art is done and we internally tested/balanced it…
- Real World Consequences - 28 February 2025
Okay, the title’s a bit dramatic. I’m actually just talking about some stuff we’ve been playing around with physically. This was the surprise we’d planned for December before that community post got buried under holiday chaos. Let me clear this up upfront: this isn’t about anything official yet — just us messing around a bit. Here’s a set of DommeBreaker stickers I had printed: That’s all five base game girls in four different sizes. I threw in some poker chips and a book for scale since I didn’t have any bananas handy. We got these printed just to see how they’d turn out, and we’re really happy with the quality. They’re just test prints for now, but they look solid at different sizes. I also printed a Jitsuko character card and a small poster with some Tomie art we’ve never shown before. Check out this sneak peek, with the same book for scale: You might think, “So what? I could print s…
