• New Demo Patch: 0.3f - 1 October 2025

  0.3f is now live! The focus of this patch is a bit different from my previous plans for it, for a few reasons. The main focus of this patch is onboarding and tutorialisation. Changes include: Damage amounts, enemy stats, the player's starting abilities, and progression have all been tweaked to -introduce game concepts more gradually, and encourage players to experiment with the alchemy system.,Attacks which exploit the alchemy system do more damage, and are indicated with bigger yellow damage numbers, to reward tactical play.,If the player is low on HP, Scox will appear after battle to push the player towards using Alchemy/items from the inventory screen to heal and prepare before battles.,When talking to daemons in battle, the UI now includes a bar that indicates how close a daemon is to joining the player, and dialogue options that have been previously selected by the player are greye…

• New Demo Patch: 0.3e8 - 11 August 2025

  Hi all, the long awaited bug fix patch for the Your Holy & Virtuous Heretic demo is finally dropping. This patch fixes all of the common bugs I'm aware of, including: Accidentally exiting battles during the transition to daemon negotiation.Doubled SP usage.Incorrect damage values.Bifrons accidentally 'summoning' himself instead of Avnas.Incorrect number of attacks during the 'Beat Flurry' attack.Progressing through the introduction without completing the required actions.I apologise for the long wait between the demo release and this patch. This will not be the final patch to the demo - while I am mainly focused on making the main game content at the moment, there will be another patch focused more on QOL improvements and polish, including controller support and key rebinding.   As many of you have probably noticed, this demo is a pre-release demo, and it has some bugs.
