  Versebound is now on consoles! Today, our very first game ships on PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. 🎉 That still feels a bit unreal to type. We checked. Versebound started as a small hobby project, rooted in the myths of the Kalevala. At the start we never thought we'd get this far. But it found its way to Steam. Now the ancient heroes of Finnish mythology get to live in your living room, exactly where they belong. None of this would have happened without Silesia Games, who made the console version a reality. Huge, genuine thanks to them. If you've been waiting to play it with a controller in hand, now's the time. 🥳 Fair warning: the game is exactly as unforgiving as on PC. The couch does not help.   Hiiohoi! We've been enjoying the sun lately, there's been like 4 sunny days already (double the amount compared to last year)! We've also gotten over 50 reviews on Steam, thus achieving the "Very Positive" status, which is absolutely fantastic and amazing! It's been so nice to read about people's experiences with VB. We've also gotten feedback on our Discord and Steam Discussions. While we are at the holidays at the moment, we found time to do a small patch to fix a few little things. The stuff fixed a text bug about Poem of Vaski damage reduction percentage fixed a bug where the pointer arrow to Weapon Imbue Altar would spawn to the origin of Tapiola upon gaining Väki Cya around and enjoy the summer, everyone! And watch for the Sääski!

  Moikka! Versebound has been out for a month now, and we've gotten lots of feedback, which has been great! Many of you have also given us ideas for improvements in terms of quality of life options and balance. We managed to implement most of the requested things in this patch, along with some bug fixes. Controller support was also on the list, and we tried our best to implement it, but in the end it proved too difficult with the current logic in the game. We did learn many things by digging in to the possibilities on that front, so for our future games we'll for sure manage it easily as we'll be able to design it in properly from the start. :) But anyway, here are the patch notes! • Demo time is OVER! - 31 March 2025

  Hello our fellow gamers! Today we took down the demo. It has been so much fun and informative to follow your gaming experience. Just as we hoped for, we got tons of feedback and now we know what to improve for the full release. But you won't have to wait long to play again. The fun is just beginning. The game will release on 30th of April. There has been some misconception on when the game will release. On our Steam page it says just "April", which is not wrong but not very accurate either. So let this be the message to clear out any doubts: Versebound will release in exactly 1 month from now, on the last day of April. We will be working hard this last month to finish the game. • Progress news! - 24 March 2025

  Hello to all of you kind people! We are working hard on finishing the rest of the content needed for the release that is coming fairly soon (yay!). We are making good progress, but there still remains a lot to do! Here's a brief take on what's been happening: First of all, thank you for the feedback! We have received a lot of feedback, bug reports and ideas from you! Some content creators have also taken the time to make videos about Versebound. Thank you for that. Obviously we can't make every wish come true, but you are helping us improve the game. For example, we heard that you don't like the bow. We get it. That's why it has received an update on it's logic (available in the full release). There are also some aspects about the game that may not be clear for the player. We will improve that too. • Forward! Said grandma in the snow. - 3 March 2025

  A lot has happened in the last couple of weeks. We released a demo, did a stream, participated in the Steam Next Fest which is soon over and The Days of the Ramadan festival started! During these times, we haven't been resting and taking it easy. No! We have been hard at work listening to your feedback, fixing bugs and optimizing the game. • Kalevala day & The Days of the Ramadan - 28 February 2025

  First of all, Happy Kalevala day everyone! Today is officially the day of finnish culture here in Finland, named after the epic that jumpstarted a good bit of people's interest into it a few centuries back. Coincidentally, said epic is also what most of Versebound is based on! While Versebound started out with a different scope in mind (originally planned to be a mobile game!), two things were set from the start; we wanted to see how we could iterate and evolve the "survivors" genre with our own little ideas, and I wanted a good excuse to finally educate myself and read this imposing national classic. End result, I feel we've definitely got a unique and attention-demanding take on the genre near completion here! I haven't seen quite this mix of elements in any other game yet.   We are taking part in the Steam Next Fest that started TODAY!
