- Sproutling Diaries 7: Leaves from the vine - 9 October 2026
So, I needed to clear my head after last week, and I went back to Town to decompress. I was really surprised by what I found back there!Turns out, there's this tree back there that's started to sprout as we've been terraforming the planet, and it's been helping us back! We're not really sure how it's doing it, though. Thyme says it's the tree's fruits that invigorate us. Lavender, on the other hand, believes it's the smell of the bark that has beneficial properties on sproutlings. Dill, ever the skeptic, insists that the tree isn't actually doing anything, and that we're just getting better at it.No matter how you slice it, we HAVE been doing much better since that tree's been around, even if we weren't in the same zone. I remember thinking that the wells had more water than usual... I don't think a simple tree could do that. Is it a weird nature divinity? We also got really excited when…
- Sproutling Diaries 6: Sometimes life is difficult. - 2 October 2026
So. This week was a rough one.We were setting up a new colony, and I think we got too used to our current one, because we just got too caught up in setting up farms, and barely had a turret up and running by the time the first bots came.It was... brutal. With drones flying all over, we had no way of getting more materials, and we had to abandon the fledgling colony. I did the Soul Seed run at least four times, and it doesn't get any more pleasant.Honestly, I was all but ready to give up on that zone, but the other guys insisted that that wasn't an option. We have to terraform the ENTIRE planet, no exceptions. And dammit, they're right.Thankfully, there's a setting that we can adjust when it comes to bots. Makes them slower, more scattered, less able to coordinate big offensive pushes. Lets us gather more resources because of that. I reckon, if we played with that setting a bit, even the…

- Sproutling Diaries 5: Making a house a home - 25 September 2026
Okay. I know I've come off as reluctant in those diaries before, but not today! Because today, I got to spend time doing one of the things I love most. Decorating the settlement!I don't brag about it much, but my neighbourhood back in Town was voted "Best Decorated" multiple seasons in a row. We had people coming from all over to try and move in! Turns out, when your neighbourhood looks really nice, lots of sproutlings want to live there, crazy right? The closer a house is to a decoration, the better, but that also applies to adjacent houses! It takes a village to raise a sproutling, after all.Anyways, I was particularly excited because the other sproutlings had just discovered some new decorations! After we'd cleared the first objectives back in Town, they decided to start over, and discovered some new things in the process. Makes me wonder what we could find in Junkyard if we ever deci…
- Sproutling Diaries 4: I love Farming!! - 18 September 2026
Okay. I don't actually love farming, but it's all I've been doing lately. And Dill insists that it's worth writing about in the diary, so what the hell. Sooo, farming. It's how we get all our food! We actually harvest a lot more produce than we end up eating, so there's always some of it going to the market to get traded with the other regions. That way, we can fund some infrastructure upgrades, and keep our base in top condition, even in the face of robots or poor weather.Speaking of weather, that's a big thing with farming. Produce is seasonal, so we have to keep rotating it throughout the year to keep the food supply up. Until recently, having enough food to last through winter was a big issue (no crops grow in winter, turns out), but we just got some new tech that lets us climate control some of our crops, so hopefully that's a thing of the past!Oh yeah, some produce also sells for…

- Sproutling Diaries 3: Our Beautiful World - 11 September 2026
Okay, so this week was even less eventful than the last one. I was on farming duty the whole time, and it's not like I can write about that, right? So, since I can't think of anything better, I guess I'll write about home. But not just my own comfy home back in Town. I should write about the world. Our planet. I wish I could have seen it before Reshaper ruined it. Well, that's not very fair. We ruined it. We built Reshaper, gave it free reign to mold the world as it saw fit. And we weren't thorough enough to make sure its plans didn't involve the destruction of organic life. It sounds silly when you put it like that, but hey, that was before my time. Maybe if Mulberry had been around then, we could've avoided the apocalypse?Anyways, it got ruined. Even Town, the zone where I'm from, has got robots rampaging all over the place. At least it still has rain and suitable farmland... it's more…
- Sproutling Diaries 2: Totally Towerful! - 4 September 2026
So... It's been a few days since the last entry, and things have been going surprisingly well. Dill said I should also write some things in here even when nothing's going wrong, just so I don't associate this diary with just disasters, so here goes.I spent most of last week on tower maintenance, with Dandelion and Edamame. The power grid was stable (for once) so we were focusing on shoring up our defenses. Since we established our base next to a mountain to the North, we only needed to check up on the South, West and East flanks. The East flank, past all the farms, was where we checked first. There's always bot attacks going on on that side, what with all the worm robots going for the food supply. Thankfully, the farms are well defended with a line of EMP towers, which are great for clearing swarms of small robots. All seemed good on that front, so we moved on.I usually hated going to th…

- Sproutling Diaries: My life in a Sproutling Colony! - 28 August 2026
"Sproutling diaries" are a new, weekly post where we will be sharing little tidbits of information about the game and its inner workings from the perspective of a sproutling. We hope you enjoy reading them!My name is Mulberry. I'm one of the sproutlings who were recently sent to settle in the Junkyard zone. I had a bit of a freak out recently after a close call with some robots, and my friend Dill advised I should write my thoughts down to calm myself down. So, here we are.Honestly, the biggest source of stress lately has been our power grid. We have a bunch of solar panels running to power our defenses, but when night falls I can't help myself but look at our dwindling power levels, and hoping they'll last until morning. We actually had a full on blackout the other night. Power surge hit us at the wrong time, and we couldn't get everything back in order before night fell. One of our nei…
- Green Again - Open Playtest Coming Soon - 6 August 2026
Hey everyone, As you may have seen the other day we released a revamped version of the Green Again demo with a lot of brand new features that add exciting gameplay mechanics to the game.During internal testing of the latest builds of the game and the demo we have realised there's some balancing issues with the new mechanics that we'd like to spend a little bit more time on.This close to a launch, we want to be putting our best foot forward so we're taking the demo down and putting up a Playtest of the game instead. You can request access to this now, and it won't be long before we let people in. - June Dev Blog! ☀️ - 26 June 2026
Hello there sproutlings! We hope you've been keeping hydrated through the start of this summer! As for us, the chlorophyll boost was exactly what we needed, and we've got several exciting things to share with you today!New Key ArtThat's right, Green Again just got new and improved art! Made once again by the talented Amy Robinson, this new piece shows off the robots in action, as well as the towers that will defend your Sproutlings against them! Check it out:New EnemiesMeet the Carrier Bots! These ominous flying machines patrol the skies of high-value areas, ready to airdrop a full battalion of shock robot troops upon your unexpecting-under defended towns. Make sure you have towers ready to intercept them and deal with the troops they drop! You might also remember the Builder Bots from last dev blog. They're now fully set up with animations, look at them go! I'm very happy with their jitt…
- May Dev Blog! 🌱 - 27 May 2026
Hey there Sproutlings! We've been hard at work on Green Again, and we've got a bunch of new things to show off today!First of all, meet Cindercreep! Cindercreep is a hostile plant created by the enemy AI, which grows over fields and prevents expansion. You'll need to use the previously mentioned reclaimers' posts to stop its growth and remove it from the map!Next up, Builder Bots! These heavy-duty robots roll over buildings, damaging them, and also undo the sproutlings' hard work by laying steel floor tiles on the map. They're the first of a series of "boiler bots" which must be countered with water: sprinkler towers and water pods. Water pods are also a new addition, letting you fight not just bots, but also wildfires, and even water crops in a pinch! Finally, we've added some new alerts to the notification system, since the game is getting more complex as we go. They appear above the me…
- April Dev Blog - 21 April 2026
Hey there Sproutlings!Another month means another dev blog, and we've got a few new features to showcase in this one! Before anything else, if you missed it, Green Again was featured during the Earth Appreciation Festival 2026 Showcase. You can watch it here: Robot Vaults! Not due to fallout of any kind, these vaults are hidden throughout the map and will awaken if players terraform too close to them! Better to let sleeping bots lie...Reclaimers!The Reclaimers' Post is a new building which will allow a team of specialised Sproutlings to break through concrete and access the ground beneath for terraforming, an essential first step to take for any kind of urban breakdown. But concrete isn't their only foe, as they can also remove all kinds of harmful & non-plantable terrain! UI ImprovementsAs we add more and more things to keep track of to Green Again, the UI needs to step up to make keepin…
- March Dev Blog - 31 March 2026
Hi Sproutling fans! It's been another month, so it's time for another sneak peek at what Máté has been cooking up behind the scenes!Decoration System RevampSproutlings are now able to perceive decorations that are not immediately near their homes! The housing adjacency bonus has been removed, and decorations now cover more ground. This means that to craft a perfect neighbourhood, you'll need to alternate building houses and decor, and optimise the zones that decorations overlap. Gone are the days of unsightly clumps of houses!New Art!The new robot enemies have graduated from featureless clumps of pixels to fully realised machines of havoc! If they weren't so intent on ravaging your colony, they'd almost be cute... Thanfkully, to fend them off, the EMP towers also received new visuals! And more! We're constantly iterating under the hood with new changes, some of which are too early in devel…
- February Dev Blog - 27 February 2026
Hey Sproutling fans! It’s been a while! Time for a new dev blog to keep you guys updated on Green Again’s development, with new footage from behind the scenes on what Máté has been working on.As mentioned previously, Green Again will have more complex strategy elements involving enemy waves and a tower defence system. In the last dev blog, we showcased part of the new turrets (though with only placeholders, as the art is still WIP). This time, it’s time to see the other side of the conflict: the robots . Enemies will start attacking your settlement in waves. More new enemies will appear with specialized roles to threaten either your buildings or your production. Two examples are the Crawlers, which are kamikaze bombers that aims to blow up your buildings, and Worms, tiny robots that eat up your hard-earned crops in the fields. Plan your settlement carefully to mitigate these new threats…
- January Dev Blog - 21 January 2026
Hey Sproutling fans! Hope you are having a great start to 2026! It’s been a while since we showed you what’s going on behind the scenes, so let’s start our year with a dev blog. Green Again is a strategy game at heart, with conflict revolving around the Sproutling’s reclamation of a barren wasteland and rogue drones trying to stop them. We felt that this conflict is currently less developed in the demo, so Máté has been reworking many related elements and the gameplay will eventually see significant changes. Drones will get more dangerous, able to harass and attack your colony in waves. The good news is, a more complex turret defence system is also in the works, which will give you better defences to hold back the renewed threats. One of the new additions will be the EMP tower. Excuse us for the checkerboard placeholders – Máté is working with the artist on the assets and hopefully we’ll…
- Green Again 2025 Overview - 24 December 2025
Hey Sproutling Fans! It's almost the end of 2025 and we can hear the Christmas carols around the corner, and what a year it’s been! Major updates, IRL events, milestones… Let’s look back at what we’ve achieved in 2025! UpdatesMarch saw a major update for Green Again’s demo, featuring a whole new biome with a series of unique challenges. On this new map, not only do the Sproutlings need to protect themselves from wild drones harassing them, but they also need to fight back fires that threaten to burn down their home. The good news is, they have some new tools at their disposal, including the sprinkler building and new upgrades. The Lore Tree was later introduced as a separate tech tree from the original one, intending to give you permanent boosts in every run. You can now collect Loreleaves from monoliths and objective completion to unlock permanent boosts to your colony. This brings prog…
