- Next Lemonade Apocalypse is Coming - 20 September 2026
Lemonade Apocalypse came to fruition during COVID in a gamejam. So, that is a while ago.Just a small project born from frustration of how we are basically steering into our doom, controlled by people who want to get as rich as possible. The best kind of people. And how do they do that? They give you money to spend money. Just like Henry Ford intended. You work double shifts, and they grace you with cash to spend on their products. It's the circle of our modern lives. And as you will notice on the post here: We are embracing this wealth chasing mechanic in communicating the game.Because we intend to enter this race ourselves! While the First Squeeze was completely free, the follow-up will have a premium! Not really, but yes really. If you want to support our work, all you need to do right now is to wishlist. And then, after, maybe buy it. I dunno. Maybe refund it before 2 hours because of som…

v2.0.0 is now LIVE, focusing on the things you care about most: bigger numbers, smoother gameplay, and keeping track of your (evil) empire.Kind of defeats the purpose of this achievement:Since it's a good ending, but you can continue after...But let's ignore that, moving on!Seriously, let it slide. So, with that out of the way: Go and have a look, and let me know what you think!Summary:Money can go past 1 trillionNumbers flow smoothlySave/Load SystemCross session stat trackingSkip tutorial optionOptional teaser events for the sequelI appreciate reports if there are bugs, either here or in the Discord.May doom be with you,Geir
- Huge Update incoming: v2.0.0 - 24 February 2026
As some of you have noticed, this game displayed some, uh... early programming experience, to put it lightly. The game was made in like 2021, and launched for fun in 2024. Now, I have muuuch more programming experience under my belt. And I played through my "resumé" (this game), and boy. Yeah, I had to start making some changes.Numbers flow smoothlyThe Billions made the game flow choppy. Painful to watch. Fixed.Infinite wealthMoney is no longer capped at 1 Trillion.Save/Load systemDid your 30 minute session get interrupted? Don't fret! The game now saves.Cross session trackingFor those of you who dig that, I know I do.Skip tutorial optionSpeedrunners can save a few seconds on this one! We're now testing, and the update will launch soon! Cheers!
- Unity Security Update / Question for speedrunners - 20 February 2026
Apparently Unity found a security issue if the build is distributed via the earlier version of Unity. Because of that I migrated the project to a new Unity version. So, that won't be a threat anymore. Took the opportunity to make changes to the wishlist next game thing... people tell me to be more shameless. So here goes. Question: I could fix the janky way the numbers go up once you pass billions in Chapter 3. But I don't want to screw over speedrunners? Open to feedback here :)
- New achievement: A good ending - 4 October 2025
Thought I'd add a good ending, without an apocalypse: Quit the game after getting the bicycle, and before getting the car. Ride your bicycle off into the sunset! Ring-ring!
- QoL changes and links - 3 October 2025
Comment any further changes you wish to see! Either here or on the Discord. Numbers have commas in them to separate thousands Removed the "x" under ingredients in the first scene Lobbyists and Dubious Laws numbers stay on one line Final scene is scaled to 16:9 Changed the background color to black for other resolutions. Now includes links to Discord and the store page for the sequel, Lemonade Apocalypse 2: The Great Filter PLEASE NOTE: The sequel is currently undergoing a redesign, so the demo is outdated. Stay tuned for the new version! Playtests are ongoing in the Discord server.
- Wishlist our next game! - 20 February 2025
Thank you First, a big thanks to everyone who has played, and are continuing to play Lemonade Apocalypse. I am grateful that so many enjoyed the game. I have decided to make it into a bigger and longer experience with lots of new gameplay and possibilities while maintaining the core experience of Lemonade Apocalypse. So, here is Lemonade Apocalypse: The Great Filter! Wishlist here Lemonade Apocalypse: The Great Filter on Steam What is "The Great Filter"? It's an homage to the Fermi Paradox. The Great Filter is a resolution to the Fermi Paradox, which states that since there is no observable extraterrestrial intelligent life, there might be something that always stops a civilization in its way—the Great Filter. In our case, each of the 27 endings of this game is a potential "filter," like global overheating. Where we are in development I've teamed up with an illustrator and composer/soun…

- Lemonande Apocalypse: Steam Edition releases April 5th! - 11 March 2024
Friday, April 5th! Is when the game is released! I chose a Friday because I believe Lemonade Apocalypse is a great way to unwind after a long week. I don't know about you, but my attention span can be kind of short on a Friday evening so I often find myself trying to find a game I can easily get into and potentially finish in one sitting. Lo and behold Lemonade Apocalypse can be finished in an hour, and on the way to getting some free achievements you will see the satirical story of greed unfold. Why free? No in-app purchases? No data mining? What's the catch?? Well, this is the first game I made. And it has a special place in my heart because of that. My desire was to share it on Steam, so after revisiting the code and design a few years later I decided to publish it, and now it's here! Thanks to the rest of the team I wrote, designed and programmed this game as a part of a game jam ar…
