  • Dimenshift Demo Edition Released! - 19 June 2024

Dimenshift is a strange game, and without playing it, you might not be sure if it's the kind of game you'd like. So, to give everyone a chance to play Dimenshift (without committing to buying it), there's now a free demo available! This demo plays exactly like the full game, but is limited to just a few levels. With that said, I still wanted to showcase the secrets and exploration in the demo (since these are really important to the full experience), so there's still a good amount of secrets and alternate paths to find. You can give it a try now!

  • Update 1.0.II - 16 June 2024

    - Dying on a bonus level no longer loses points - Adjusted level D)IV for clarity - Adjusted level 4)IV to make it less frustrating when revisiting it

  • Update 1.0.1 - 1 May 2024

Fixed section in level V)E where you could get soft-locked Adjusted level 2 Looking forward to release in a few days!

  • Steam Deck/Linux Compatibility - 27 April 2024

If you use a Steam Deck or just Linux in general, you'll be happy to know that Linux support is a priority for Dimenshift. In fact, not only has Dimenshift had Linux support since the beginning, the majority of development for it was done on Linux! Therefore, Dimenshift has a native Linux build. Also, I've always felt that platformers are usually much more comfortable with gamepads than with keyboards. So controller support has been a priority throughout development, too. Between these two facts, it just makes sense to make sure that the game works on the Steam Deck. So, Dimenshift already supports the Steam Deck! In fact, much of the general playtesting was done on my personal Steam Deck, and I have to say that it's probably my favorite way to play the game. So, while Valve may take a bit to get around to testing Dimenshift on the Deck (Dimenshift isn't exactly a big and well-known gam…

  • Update 0.XVI.C - 4 April 2024

Added log to level 9, so now you can actually get all of the logs, heh… Fixed error with logs in levels G, V, and E)V not affecting the indicator on the level map. (Sorry!) If you’re trying to find all of the logs and are stuck, try checking these levels. The % indicator on save files is now more accurate. That takes care of all of the bugs/issues I am aware of. Hopefully this is the last update before launch, but who knows! Maybe some levels will still need to be tweaked.

  • Update 0.XVI.B - 3 April 2024

Adjusted “Wait, what?!?!” achievement Adjusted “Explorer” achievement so that you can actually get it lol Map actually centers on the current level now like it’s supposed to Fixed bug where map dialog wouldn’t go away when the game is paused

  • Update 0.XVI.1 - 2 April 2024

Adjusted level 9)IX Added full screen toggle Settings should no longer sync with cloud saves

  • Update 0.XVI.0 - 1 April 2024

There is now an introductory "cutscene" to give a little more context to the story, and a proper ending! This means that the game is basically done other than minor improvements!

  • Update 0.XV.1 - 29 March 2024

Fixed "This Again!?!?" and "Explorer" achievements. Turns out, if you don't call the function, it doesn't run.

  • Update 0.XV.0 - 28 March 2024

Adjusted “A Void Dance” achievement Adjusted “Master of Direction” achievement (hopefully it won’t auto-grant it now) Added “Explorer” achievement. Unfortunately, if you have a save from a previous version of the game, you’ll have to re-visit any visited levels to get this achievement. Fixed collision issue on II Adjusted secret on VII Fixed visual glitch in X10 Fixed visual glitch in J Adjusted map to make panning with the right stick better Updated log text (mostly just formatting) Some of the achievements still need testing.
