• Demo 1.2 Update: New Save System! - 2 April 2025

  Hey everyone, I’ve received a lot of great suggestions for the game, and many of them were about the save system—something I had been wanting to refine as well. Previously, the game allowed you to save almost anytime, but I realized this didn’t really serve the core experience I wanted to create. To introduce more layers of risk management, I’ve made some changes. From now on, there are three ways to save your progress: Manual Save: Requires one *Ink Bottle*. You start with five and can buy more for four coins each. Resting: Save by setting up camp or staying at an inn. Prayer: Save by praying at an altar of the Ascendent or the Queen. The demo includes only one altar, but the full game will feature several across the map. However, if you’ve turned your back on the Sacred Family, don’t expect their blessings. Here’s what’s new in this version: - Fixed an issue where the “Finish” button in the character creation screen would load the next scene multiple times. - Added more explanations for attributes and their effects in the character creation screen. - Fixed various grammar and spelling errors. - Removed Spellbook of Summon Lockpick and Spellbook of Light from character creation. - Even more grammar and spelling fixes. - Added tooltips in Mountain Pass and Fork to better explain dice rolls, combat mechanics, and backpack items.
