• Demo Build Update 0.2.0 - 6 June 2025

  Contract ModifiersContracts now have randomized modifiers that will make the completion of it more difficult. These increased challenges also come with rewards if you can overcome them!Initial set of modifiers with version 0.2.0:Reduced Sand: 20% of sand within Soulglass is removed.No Lifts: No lifts at all during the entire contract.No Sand Pickups: Afflictions no longer spawn sand pickups when destroyed.Low Gravity: Player and sand both fall slower.Darkness: Vision made a bit more difficult with dark lighting.More Afflictions: Afflictions spawn 50% faster.Heavy Soulglass: Soulglass is 80% heavier and therefore more difficult to push.

• Demo Build Update 0.1.0 - 4 June 2025

  Health The Soulglass now has health bar. It is tied to the same game mechanics as metrics (balance and flow), but is more of an active reflection of your performance so far. If health reaches zero, the contract instantly fails and you receive a STRIKE on your contract timeline. The health bar take damage when: The Soulglass becomes completely unbalanced. If sand flow slows down beyond one of the metric thresholds (eg: 400 to 300 grains per minute). Catching Lifts will heal the health bar by a small percentage Game Over Each failed contract (two Stars, forfeited, or health reaching zero) now counts towards a total count of STRIKES. Once you reach three STRIKES, the game is over and you must begin again with a new set of abilities. HUD Updates Tooltips added for meters, health bar added next to progress, and some colors adjusted for clarity.

• Demo Build Update 0.0.4 - 31 May 2025

  Controller Support General gameplay, input mapping, and menu navigation all work with controller input. Controller support will receive another pass in the next week to improve usability and include interaction with tutorial pop-ups. Bug Fixes Floors no longer ignored with upward velocity. Ricochet properly emits successful attack. Ability Visual Effects should now all destroy/reset properly when transition between maps. Weight creation no longer collides with hourglass and instead attaches peacefully. Character Creation now fully resets all game state and character data.
