  I am the developer of the game CyberArena and the administrator of the beginner developers community “Melnitsa Indie-Igr”.And today I’ll tell you how we went from this menu:to this one:Well, maybe first a few words about the first version. Of course, there’s nothing to brag about here, but maybe it will still be useful to someone. We drew it in Aseprite. It’s a very convenient program, and if you know how to draw, you can create really cool things in it. We didn’t))Now to the more interesting part —> how we made the new menu.   Hello everyone! Here is our first major update. We still have a lot of work ahead, but we’ve already accomplished a lot: 1. Modes Completely redesigned: after you level up in the first mode, all upgrades are saved and become available in the “Challenge” mode. The “Challenge” mode currently uses temporary enemy spawn logic, but we’ll radically overhaul it soon. 2. Leaderboards Steam integration: your account nickname is pulled automatically — no more manual entry required. 3. UI Updated interface — this is still a temporary version. A full redesign is on the way, so don’t be surprised when you see a brand-new look. 4. Localization English version added. You can now choose between Russian and English in the settings. 5.   Hi everyone!Here’s a quick update on what we’ve been working on over the past few days:⚙️ Progression System Reworked The game structure is now clearly split into two modes:In the first mode, you fight through waves and pick upgrades between them — this is where your build is formed.In the second mode, you play with the build you've crafted in the first — this is part of the metagame progression.🖼 UI Improvements Upgrades are now displayed in a clean and clear interface directly in-game.What used to be just lines of text is now a proper UI with icons and counters. You’ll also see your build in the menu when playing the second mode.🐛 New Enemy – Small and Fast We’ve added a new bug enemy — even smaller and faster than the previous ones. It should significantly improve many of the game’s current issues — we hope it’ll make the experience noticeably smoother and more engaging.Now, a bit about what we’re working on right now…📝 Localization System Lately, I’ve been working on building a localization system for our game. We’ve implemented text loading directly from a Google Sheet — the data is automatically converted into JSON and imported into the game. This makes managing text much easier and allows us to scale the project to multiple languages with minimal effort.At the moment, everything is working at a basic level, but the system already supports adding 5 to 10 languages without much hassle.
