Hi everyone!Timber Rush Update 1.1.2 is live!Highlights:Fixed some save file issues. Specifically if the save failed to write to disk properly, it would leave a blank save file, which would leave users in a perpetual state of being unable to save their progress.Fixed a bug that was causing chests to override your level ups. Most notably in the beginning of the run when you are more likely to get combined levels.Fixed a bug that was allowing your crew to get a few chops in the instance you started a run, combined with auto collect it would could cause users to miss a few level ups.Fixed a bug in some circumstances where not all levels would be accounted for in the combined levels.With these fixes hopefully the late game is considerably easier and also allows players to break the game even faster! I truly am sorry, but hope that everyone gives it another shot for those who haven't finished it. Hi everyone!I have worked on an update on the demo to add achievements to the game (still need to connect to Steam Achievements) and completely revamped the shop page.Highlights:I have added an achievements page. Most of these will be completed as you progress through the demo, but there are a few trickier ones that will require specific builds.I have revamped the shop page, now known as the crew page. It holds the player and upcoming crew slots, cumulative stats of the selected player/crew member, and then the shop at the bottom. I hope it feels intuitive, but am open to feedback!I fixed a few bugs and added some small QoLs.AchievementsI have added 17 achievements for the demo. Hi everyone!I accidentally made the rare variant of "Knowledge is Power" extremely overpowered, the upper range should have been 8% but actually was 80% due to a missing 0 (should have been 0.08, and I had 0.8). A member of our Discord was able to exploit that and get nearly 800k logs in a single run. Hi everyone!I have worked on a minor update on the demo to make the wood chopping experience a bit more smooth and a few additional QoLs.Highlights:Updated some translations to make a bit more sense. Specifically "Axes" was being translated as "Axis" and "Logs" were being translated as "System logs" or "Records". Still other languages to tackle (looking at you Russian and Chinese).Rerolls can now be bought, giving gold an additional purpose. I'll be keeping an eye on feedback to see if the initial cost and cost function needs to be tuned. Free rerolls will be used first if bought within the Skill Tree, then further rerolls are purchasable, so go out spend that hard earned gold to get the exact upgrades to further your chopping experience.I have updated the upgrade selection panel to now allow users to use their keyboard to select upgrades. Hi everyone — quick demo update focused on performance and clarity, based directly on your feedback.Several players reported slowdowns or freezing near the end of longer runs, especially once the screen filled with lots of logs and effects. This update is aimed squarely at fixing that.What’s improved• Significantly smoother performance in late-game / high-chaos runs• Reduced lag when large numbers of logs are on screen• More stable frame rate during intense moments• Small UI polish and feedback improvementsBehind the scenes (light technical note)Previously, many individual logs were updating themselves every frame.
