VERZAKEN! IS NOW IN VR!! We have just been working hard making Verzaken! fully VR compatible! I have one thing to say about it..... This. Game. Was. Made. For. VR!! In other words, if you've played the original pancake/flat version.... fo'getta bout'it! Verzaken! VR is like a whole new game! Fully compatible with room-scale and motion controls on the HTC Vive. Oculus and WMR support coming very soon. If the game doesnt start in VR immediately, try opening SteamVR first (this seems to be a problem with SteamVR, not Verzaken). And a new feature to make it easy to retrieve your Pickaxe in VR- just reach behind your back! Seriously, with the right controller, reach behind your back, hold the trigger starting from behind your back and while holding right trigger, bring the controller back to the front of you in an arc, releasing Trigger at about your belly. Great news! We've just updated Verzaken! and the game has now been translated to Simplified Chinese, German, Russian, and Spanish! VR support is coming next. The game will be updated with VR capabilities, without having to buy a new copy of the game! It will be a whole new experience, so stay tuned! And tell your friends about Verzaken!

After some deliberation and research, we've decided to bring VR compatibility to Verzaken! If you own an HTC Vive, an Oculus Rift, or a Windows Mixed Reality headset, you'll be able to experience the world of Verzaken! from a whole new perspective- by jumping into the game in VR, just like we used to dream of doing in the 90s! We'd rather not give a specific ETA, but it's safe to say it'll be ready in the next few months, probably sooner rather than later. VR compatibility will be built into the base game- if you already own the game and also own a VR headset, you'll be ready to go! No need to buy a second version! AND- if you have the Vive or the Oculus Touch controllers, you'll be able to select to use motion controls as well. A traditional controller can also be used. We're excited for Verzaken! in VR! We just uploaded a small content update! The main feature of this update is a new enemy! The first time you'll see him is level 20 (the 4th cave level). Also added is a new music track for the overworld! Enjoy!

An update to Verzaken! is currently uploading- we fixed the glitched UI when using certain resolutions. ALL resolutions will work after today. I apologize for that- it was an oversight of a single setting! Fixed several other things- all artifact's sizes have been adjusted, a bug which caused pop-up dialogue boxes to re-appear after saving then continuing, a couple UI glitches you probably weren't going to run into anyway, and a couple minor things. This week we will be improving several animations, as well as adding a new enemy and several new music tracks. Work on Verzaken! is mostly finished, but it will be maintained indefinitely as far as bugfixes and there are several last-minute additions, as mentioned, that we intend to make so that players get a full experience with Verzaken! It's come to our attention that certain UI and HUD elements are not displaying properly on certain resolutions. A fix will come in the next couple days; in the meantime, playing at 720p will correctly position your XP and lifebar in front of their backgrounds so they are visible. We apologize for any annoyance this has caused. We've just updated and improved several aspects of the controls. For instance, now you can rotate to the Pickaxe with the switch weapon button. There are several other small but significant improvements and bugfixes coming in the next couple days. In the meantime, a hint: When you get to Island #4. don't bother looking for another portal! This time, be on the lookout for a mountain that's different than the rest....you will find the first dungeon within.
